Dylan Sprouse went viral once again this week when he claimed, seemingly in a jokey way, that he was a ‘child of incest’.
And that of course also counts in his twin brother, Cole.
Dylan explained this ‘weird’ discovery about his family history on Tuesday’s (20 October) episode of his Wildmen podcast.
Only for Cole to end up posting: “No media training on earth can prep you to read this clickbait headline at 10am.”
And as Dylan’s claim has now covered social media, he’s had the perfect reaction to the internet’s response.
It all started when the Disney Channel star told cohost Brendan Columbus that he ‘found out something weird’ about is family’s history of twins after looking into their ancestry following a DNA test.

As he said his ‘dad’s side of the family is pretty fractured’, Dylan didn’t know as much about some of his relatives.
But he learned that both sides had lived in California during the Gold Rush before a marriage joined them in the 1800s.
“So the families married in California in the late 1800s,” he explained.
“And then they diverged. And then they married again with my mom and my dad, like last generation.”
Dylan then ‘started to get suspicious when he released their dad’s uncles were also identical twins, while he’d only previously associated this with his mum’s side of the family.
He said it was weird that his family had seven sets of twins in four generations, which he described as ‘crazy’. And the actor realised: “The reason we have a lot of twins is because it’s the same family!”
Dylan said he was ‘four generations removed from incest’ with his parents having no idea they were related further up the family tree.
On the Instagram account for the Wildmen podcast, they’ve been getting in on the viral fun of his claims.
A meme shared on the page sees a crying face with: “Noooo! You cannot marry your first cousin, it will lead to homozygosity, which can increase the chances of your offspring being affected by deleterious or recessive traits.”
But beside that is snaps of Cole and Dylan’s heads as it says: “haha long jaw go brrrr.”
In a reference to Game of Thrones, the caption reads: “targaryen maxxing.”
As fans will know, the Targaryen family practiced incest in order to preserve its bloodline and those famous dragon-riding abilities.
Users called it ‘premium content’ as they claim Dylan’s ‘comedy is so undervalued’.
