The new moon in Taurus, scheduled for midafternoon on May 16th, 2026, is set to unleash a surge of energy that may catch many off guard—like a brick landing in your lap when you least expect it. At 25 degrees, this cosmic event is more than just a celestial occurrence; it’s one that can carry significant weight. Imagine feeling the densest of energies swirl around—dense enough, in fact, to evoke the phrase “bunker buster.” What could that mean for your astrological chart?
I’ll dive into how this new moon impacts not just my chart but perhaps yours too, especially as it squares with my natal Uranus—talk about a cosmic jolt! And trust me, the energy here isn’t just fluffy; it’s tangible and risks turning into something more than superficial. With Taurus ruling the neck and demon star Algol lurking in the background, my own neck has had a brush with danger, and I know I’m not alone in feeling the possible repercussions. So, whether you’re basking in favorable late degrees of Taurus or bracing for a shock, I suggest keeping a watchful eye on Mars, both in its natal and transiting forms. After all, when it hits, it may be more substantial than you ever imagined!

Late degrees of Taurus are favorable to my chart; I’ve got no worries there. But this new moon squares my natal Uranus. I will be struck! Granted, some of shock will be absorbed in my case. I’m trying to stress; this energy is dense and potentially dangerous.

The injury occurred on zero turn mower when my necklace was caught on a tree branch. Clearly it could have been a lot worse. But note there was a Moon, Venus, Algol conjunction when this happened.
The new moon is well aspected but there is risk with this. Keep an eye on Mars, both natal and transiting, and just in general, take care. Because it this does hit, I don’t think it will be superficial as pictured.
