This weekend, the Leo Sun moves into conjunction with Jupiter, highlighting the past exact but still in effect string of connected big hitters. Sun hits Jupiter and they sextile Gemini Uranus, trine Aries Neptune, and oppose retro Aquarius Pluto.

The Sun illuminates the path, the goals — it’s personal. The Sun in Leo? Doubly so. A clean burn. We are invigorated, making use of serendipity and novelty, connecting to something greater, and bringing it to bear on power at scale. We’re clearly “the little guy”, but with Jupiter on our arm, are we?

The Sun doesn’t go retro, so Pluto makes us take another look. We’ve got plenty of planetary backup, so do it NOW. Are we subject to power, reacting to? Are we absorbing, redirecting, and turning it back? Perhaps with Pluto retrograde, we’re addressing a power situation we didn’t personally create but are now a part of. Who are you? What is your part in all this? Your personal philosophy may change. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but this is fomenting change. Jupiter? Maybe for a time in the future. But heck, we experience its initial impact today.

Virgo Venus closely squares Gemini Mars now. Virgo and Gemini ruler Mercury is slow but direct in Cancer. All the feels are manifesting, so don’t let them pile up on you. It’s appropriate to be choosy, to be picky — or even to consider picking up your toys and going home. But where’s home now? Maybe we’ve been rethinking that in the last few weeks. Maybe we’ve got a better idea now. In any case, I don’t think any of us are expecting smooth sailing anymore; and I think that might be a good thing. We can really figure out where we WANT TO GO when comfort isn’t expected. When comfort isn’t expected, perhaps it can still be achieved.

Friday night, the Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius Moon trines stationing Aries Saturn. Jupiter-Saturn is “come here, come here, come here; get away, get away, get away” energy. It’s not only that, but it’s also that. In trine and in fire, we get a taste of holding our restrictions in one hand and our hopes and wishes in another — as we dance and jump for joy, for the satisfaction, because WE CAN. And we can go all night. Be responsible! Okay, I will, I probably have time for that too.

Saturday night, we also have a Sagittarius Moon, and this Moon trines Vesta in Aries. We are DEVOTED, and we feel we need to show it. There may be a tendency to go overboard; there’s such a fire inside that we’re driven to show it on the outside.

Sunday morning, the Moon finishes up in Sadge: a sweet bump and the sizzle of the end of the candle. I think there’s satisfaction in that. Don’t leave anything on the table. Juice all the joy. Then the Moon heads into Saturn’s rule in Capricorn and an immediate trine to Taurus Chiron. I must look into my STUFF! All that heel-kicking fire needs a bit of tamping down, for our own good I think. We understand taking care of business, and with Saturn in Aries, action will make that feel best. Finish what needs finishing, start what needs starting.

Saturn turns retro in Aries midday, then the Capricorn Moon squares Aries Neptune. Something brings a bit of wobble into the equation. Perhaps we’re forgetting something, or it’s the consequences of something we forgot. In any case, a retro Saturn with a Saturn-ruled Moon ought to lead us taking another look at the foundation of things. If they’re solid, we can further strengthen. If something’s missing or broken, we can rebuild or repair. In any case, we also may contend with issues of responsibility. Whose responsibility was it then? Whose responsibility is it now? If no one takes responsibility, who will have to take action?
