On the evening of April 25, an alleged gunman sparked panic at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after reportedly breaching security and opening fire before being subdued by Secret Service agents.
Vance later admitted the ordeal was especially frightening for his wife, Usha Vance, who was home with their three children while pregnant with their fourth child.
Speaking about the frightening experience, the VP recalled hearing loud noises at first, not understanding what was happening, as guests ducked for cover and security rushed into action.
