Following the success of BBC Earth’s previous live shows, a brand new Blue Planet III Live in Concert tour is heading to arenas across the UK in 2027.
The event will give audiences the chance to experience the series like never before, bringing the nature documentary to life on an immense scale.
The tour comes as the Blue Planet III series prepares to debut on BBC One and iPlayer this autumn, with the concert serving as a live companion to the new release.
Fans can expect spectacular footage from beneath the waves shown on an impressive Ultra HD LED screen, all accompanied by a live performance from the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
The soundtrack has been scored by Academy Award winning composer Hans Zimmer, alongside Thom Lukas and Laurentia Editha for Bleeding Fingers Music. They stated they were ‘ecstatic’ that audiences will be able to enjoy their score in this way.
Hans Zimmer revealed: “There’s nothing like experiencing this score live with an orchestra, especially when it’s paired with the extraordinary visuals of the life underwater.”
The live concert will also explore inspiring stories and behind-the-scenes insights from the making of the television series, hosted by executive producer, Elizabeth White.
Elizabeth White said: “Making Blue Planet III has taken us to places we never imagined we’d film.”
“But there’s something about bringing that footage into a concert arena full of people, with the score performed live all around you, that will be truly special.”
“This tour is our chance to share the series on a completely different scale, and I can’t wait to be there live, revealing the extraordinary stories behind what audiences are seeing on screen.”
