"Get Ready for Cosmic Comedy: Venus Retrogrades into Drama and Delight This Week!"

Added on November 2, 2026 inFREE ASTROLOGY

As Venus and Mercury dance in retrograde, we’re on the precipice of something big—like, “do I really need to bring my old school lamp to this new place?” kind of big. You know, that leopard lamp that’s been collecting dust but somehow still feels nostalgic? Well, much like that lamp, the current cosmic alignments urge us to reevaluate what we value and how it fits into our future. With a transformational new moon in Scorpio lurking around the corner, there’s a hint of magic in the air, marrying internal breakthroughs with real-world opportunities. So, grab a cup of your favorite brew and let’s dive into how these celestial shifts could lead us to some golden brass rings—or at least some new perspectives on love, money, and everything in between! Venus and Mercury are both retrograde and creating significant conditions for us to capitalize on substantial opportunities ahead of Sunday night’s transformational new moon in Scorpio. These prospects and epiphanies are likely primarily internal, but they also have footing in the real world.

Retro Venus in Libra sextiles Jupiter in Leo through Wednesday morning, then it goes on to pick up a sextile to Leo Mars. Perspective around our values and desires reflects back in opportunities that arise around love, money, and desire. Those can be elevated, intensified, broadcast, and they may seem larger than life. If something you thought passed you by pops up again, that may be your brass ring turned gold. At least look into it. With Jupiter in Leo, it’s also a shot at positively plumping your ego or sense of self. It could be a type of self-care on steroids, one that comes from the inside. Then when Venus reaches orb of sextile with Mars, there’s a shot to put all that into action through the weekend.

Retro Mercury in Scorpio heads back into conjunction with the Sun through Wednesday morning as well. It makes sense that a rethink is illuminated, but give it some time to coalesce before you dive in. Mercury picks up a quincunx to retro Saturn in Aries, so ease into action and make sure you’re set on the right thing. Rethink and investigate the foundation of your actions.

Monday’s Leo Moon conjoins Mars then goes on to conjoin Jupiter and sextile Retro Venus. A sunny mood launches us into active hope for good things in the future. It’s life-affirming to want more. It then trines retro Chiron in Aries into the night, and the fiery mood channels a resounding emphasis on maintaining mastery.

On Tuesday, the Mercury-ruled Virgo Moon squares retro Uranus in Mercury-ruled Gemini — one earthy, one airy. Not everything that makes sense in theory, makes sense in practice. Try not to erupt if you’re not in the mood to tangle intellectually, or bicker. The mood is practical. Just go with what works and skip the tussle. If it turns out that doesn’t actually work? Well, you can readdress it the other way. What springs to mind: “Everybody’s got an opinion.” You may feel like smoothing things over, but that could lead to time-wasting chaos. Ultimately, the Moon moves on to sextile the Sun and retro Mercury, so the earlier frenetic mood is self-limiting. Eventually you’ll feel more gainful gears glide into place.

Wednesday morning, Venus-Jupiter and Mercury-Sun perfect as the Moon moves through the middle of Virgo. The mood settles some of that culminating intensity as everything sinks in. It then slips through the midpoint of the Venus-Jupiter sextile by nighttime, reminding us that good things await in the future (delicious!).

Thursday morning, the Moon finishes up in Virgo and retro Venus picks up a sextile to Mars: Motivation is both mental and emotional, and we’re fixing to get on with it, to get back on the hunt. The Moon then moves to Libra where it opposes retro Neptune in Aries, trines Aquarius Pluto, and trines retro Uranus. This kicks up another mood cycle accessing that long-term trio in a kite. The ghost of inspiration past? “I want… I waaaaant… hmmmm…” It bubbles up. It tickles all the right spots. The night ends with a Moon-Saturn opposition, a natural stopping point. Otherwise we’d never sleep!

On Friday, the Libra Moon opposes retro Vesta in Aries, and where we want to jump off from might be different than it used to be. “We’ve always done it this way,” doesn’t hit the same right now. What matters is where we want to jump TO. Friday night, the Moon sextiles Mars then conjoins Retro Venus overnight. Where we’re going and how we get there hinges on what we’re going after, and that may be changing. The mood reflects those changes, in a good way.

As I finish this, I’m looking out the window at the Moon over the mountain: “Gee, the Moon still looks really full! What’s with that?” It’s the reflection of the overhead light laid over the dark landscape outside. Oh my god. What a maroon. The Leo Moon in my 12th house is never my best look. I’ll take this coming week over the last one FOR SURE. How about you?
