We have a wrap-up of all the news you need to know from Monday, March 9, 2026.
FOX is keeping one of its most resilient dramas in business for another year.
The broadcast network has handed out a renewal to Doc for Season 3.

If you paid attention to our FOX cheat sheet, then you know this was coming.
The medical drama has held up well this year, with Doc Season 2 tracking well ahead of its freshman run.
Steady is the new up, so shows rising on broadcast TV are practically unheard of.
What’s interesting about this renewal is that 22 episodes have been ordered.

Once the true definition of a full season order, few shows actually reach that number nowadays.
But FOX is clearly happy that the series embraced its supersized episode order this season and believes there’s value in not scaling things back.
Elsewhere at FOX, the highly anticipated Baywatch reboot is taking shape.
Brooks Nader confirmed on Monday morning via social media that she was the latest addition to the show’s cast, which is tentatively set to premiere in the 2026-27 season.

It’s unclear what the network plans to do scheduling-wise, but it would be interesting if it landed a summer bow.
The lack of frothy summer dramas on the broadcast networks nowadays is criminal.
FOX handed out a 12-episode order for Baywatch in the fall, and the series has since added cast members such as Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, and original star David Chokachi.
Filming is expected to get underway imminently.

I’m curious to see how the revamp fares. I mean, FOX canceled a similar show last year.
Rescue Hi-Surf was initially envisioned as a franchise and had the legs to continue.
But it seems that FOX wanted to try out a bigger brand by bringing Baywatch back into the mix.
Over on AMC, the cabler got quite the head start in announcing the fate of its upcoming drama series, The Audacity.
The Silicon Valley series from Jonathan Glatzer has been renewed for Season 2.

The news comes a month before its series premiere, slated for April 12.
An early renewal is always a vote of confidence, so the network must be thrilled with the Billy Magnussen-fronted drama so far.
