Friday night, Venus at the end of Virgo moves into opposition with retrograde Saturn at the end of Pisces. That’s not fun. BUT, Venus also heads into out of sign trines with retrograde Uranus in Gemini and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius — with a budding, out of sign opposition to retrograde Neptune in Pisces.
So what’s not fun about a Venus-Saturn opposition? What have you got? It’s an outside force blocking access to pleasure. It’s bad timing in love. It’s dealing with lack, sometimes lack as the result of bad judgement in the past.
This same energy can be a force for good, but that takes some humbling. Patience, accepting your losses, absorbing criticism constructively, all of these are positive redirects, but they’re not exactly a party. When you add in the trines from Uranus and Pluto, then the opposition to Neptune, you’ve got a kite formation. Normally I’d say that adds structure, but they’re retrograde, in air and/or NEPTUNE.
We’re dealing with the results of past dreams and desires. There’s a real possibility of turning things around, but it’s intense and the results are unimaginable. A true surprise, maybe lovely, maybe ugly. Profound change is in the air, it’s brewing. We’ve got to keep passing the open windows and mix stoicism with whimsy. It’s an entry to the absurd.
Whatever gets you through — that doesn’t run you afoul of your own values and sensibilities. Color in the lines. Then once you’ve done that, color outside the lines for good measure. Don’t be fussed if the lines disappear. It’s all part of the deal.

It’s a step on the way. It’s revolutionary change. It’s a wild ride and we’ll all be the better for it, someday. Overnight, the Gemini Moon trines the Libra Sun, the mood is airy with easy satisfaction. It culminates by morning at the same time Venus perfects its opposition to retro Saturn. So be sure to be fair as well as smart and do the right thing.
Saturday night, the Moon finishes in Gemini with a sextile to retro Chiron in Aries and a t-square with Venus and retro Saturn. If you primed the pump Friday night, you’ll have juice for Saturday. Patience and going deep, deep below the waterline, is the answer. Sink to the bottom and feel the stillness. I suspect Gemini creates their own oxygen. I rarely see them at a lack for air. In any case, it’s sink or swim. Sometimes it’s calm and patience. Sometimes it’s pogoing, down to the bottom, up to the top. Maybe Venus-Saturn can be fun.
Overnight, the Moon heads into Cancer and squares retro Neptune as well. The way out is not through intoxication or fooling yourself. Get creative instead. Maybe the old dream just isn’t it.
On Sunday, the Moon in its own rulership in Cancer heads into trine with Mercury then Mars in Scorpio. I don’t know if clearing your head is possible, but maybe just getting it in tune with your heart will work. Get into your groove, and suss out what you’ve got going for you. Some of that grand trine/kite energy will be kicking in, but with a lighter kick than Friday. Champagne bubbles kick, but it’s a different sort of thing from a mule. At least till later. In any case, the mood provokes exploration, and the Venus aspects provide all the material necessary for plans of a future adventure… through a lens on the past. The mood favors moving your body and getting started. Pleasure is available for those who get in the flow and kick.
