The 47-year-old shared the painful news that her father, Kirk, has died following a battle with colon cancer.
As grief continues to surround the Hogan family, Sky opened up about the emotional toll of losing two of the most important men in her life so close together.
Sky revealed the tragic news through an emotional social media post on Wednesday, telling followers her father had passed away after a difficult fight with cancer.
“My father Kirk passed away last night after a hard battle with colon cancer that became increasingly difficult this last year,” she wrote.
She also took a moment to thank her father’s wife, Robin, for standing beside him throughout the illness.
“I’m especially thankful to his wife, Robin – thank you for taking such good care of my dad through all of this,” she wrote.
The loss comes during an already painful chapter in Sky’s life following Hulk Hogan’s death from cardiac arrest in Florida last July.
Reflecting on the back-to-back tragedies, she admitted, “Losing my husband and my father in the same year has honestly gutted me. I’m comforted somewhat knowing my sisters and I got to be there with him, love him through it all, and make sure he never felt alone at the end.”

Her tribute described him as someone who loved the outdoors and passed that passion down to his family.
“He was a true outdoorsman. He loved hiking, camping, canoeing, wildlife, and teaching us every random forest trick he knew,” she shared.
Sky also remembered how he made ordinary moments feel unforgettable during her childhood years.
She said he loved “westerns and old kung fu movies” and created memories that stayed with her long after growing up.

The latest tragedy has once again placed the Hogan family under an emotional spotlight after months of mourning the wrestling legend.
Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick Hogan, publicly reacted to Sky’s heartbreaking post with a supportive message. “I’m so sorry Sky. We all loved him very much and will miss him deeply,” he wrote.
Sky and Hulk Hogan had been married for less than two years before his death. The pair tied the knot in Clearwater, Florida, in September 2023, making her the wrestler’s third wife.

“I wasn’t ready for this…and my heart is in pieces,” she wrote shortly after the wrestler passed away.

“He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time,” she said.

The wrestling star had reportedly been estranged from his daughter, Brooke Hogan, for nearly two years before he died.
Brooke’s husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, later insisted the fallout had nothing to do with Sky entering Hogan’s life.
“That’s not the case at all. My wife will say it – it had nothing to do with his new wife. It had to do with the way he treated (Brooke),” Oleksy told PEOPLE last year.

Hogan did not walk her down the aisle during her 2022 wedding to Oleksy, and Brooke also skipped Hogan’s own wedding ceremony the following year.

“I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest,” he said.

While Hogan’s ex-wife and son appeared prominently throughout the project, Brooke was absent from the documentary completely.
Later speaking with Page Six, Brooke explained why she wanted no involvement in the production.
“No matter how much people have either dogged my dad or loved my dad, if he calls and says, ‘Hey, there’s an opportunity for you to be on TV,’ everybody’s tune changes real quick,” she said.
She continued by explaining that she no longer wanted to surround herself with people she believed were inconsistent in their loyalty.
“All of a sudden they’re on Team Hogan. I didn’t want to be in the company of people that I’ve seen switch up,” she concluded.
