All weekend, the Moon struts through Capricorn, a sign ruled by serious Saturn. With Saturn taking a retrograde spin in Aries—just shy of opposing Mercury in Libra—the mood’s a mixture of deep thoughts and simmering emotions. It’s like trying to balance a hot cup of coffee while navigating a crowded coffee shop. So—what’s brewing in your cup this weekend? As Mercury squabbles with Pallas Athena in Aries and Mars squares retrograde Chiron, it’s a ripe time to sift through what truly matters to you. Time to play favorites in your life if effort feels limited, right?
Friday night kicks off with a cheeky Moon-Sun square, motivating us to harness that fiery vibe from Jupiter’s friendly trine with Vesta-Chiron. Passion is heightened as Mars also tussles with Capricorn’s Juno, blending action with devotion. But as we slide into Saturday, the Capricorn Moon squaring retro Saturn? That’s your cue to take a moment, breathe, and check in with your self-worth. Am I getting too woo-woo here, or are these celestial bodies just pulling strings to remind us of our value?
As we glide into Sunday, with the Capricorn Moon amplifying its square to Mercury, the universe again nudges us to acknowledge our pain as a sign to slow down. This isn’t just a weekend for frenetic actions; it’s a chance to reflect on what lets us live our best lives and what’s worthy of our energy. I don’t know about you, but questioning reality just might lead you to unexpected treasures—after all, with Mercury in Libra and Venus in Scorpio, sometimes the best finds are where we least expect them!
So, how are you feeling this week? Have you been finding those hidden gems, or is it more of a “wait and see” kind of vibe? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

All weekend, the Moon works its way through Saturn-ruled Capricorn. Saturn is retrograde in Aries, just off an opposition to Mercury in Libra. News and information, intellectual and sensory, have been received. We’ll balance this over time, but the weekend takes us deeper as it plays out in the general mood. It sinks in.
Mercury heads into opposition with Pallas Athena in Aries, and Aries-ruler Mars (in Cancer) squares Vesta and retro Chiron at the end of Aries. Figure out what’s important to you and learn to rank it. What is worth the effort when the effort costs you. It’s starting to feel like effort is finite. BUT, we’re also afforded another shot at the grasping the lesson, improving the targeting to take the shot.
Friday night, with a Moon-Sun square falling behind us, the end of sign Sagittarius Moon goes on to trine Vesta-Chiron. It’s a pumped up mood, so lock in and let it fire you up. Mars also spends the weekend in opposition to Capricorn Juno, so passion is locked in to action as well. Devotion figures in. Late Friday, the Moon moves to Capricorn, and the mood gears down to gain traction.
Saturday night, the Cap Moon squares retro Saturn in Aries. It goes on to square Libra Mercury overnight. You’ve got to remember your own value and that you value yourself (or perhaps note where you are in that?). Slow down to lesson negative reactivity. Give yourself the time you need to stay in your rational reactions to emotion. Or? Give yourself time to recover with grace if you fail. I would suggest you take the adult approach, but I don’t think “tough love” is part of that. Be gentle and firm. Everything has a root you can’t see right now, and it’s rooted back in time. What we see now is not all there is to see. YET.
This weekend, pain is an indicator to slow down and figure out what’s happening. Sunday morning, the Capricorn Moon perfects its square to Mercury. By nighttime, it conjoins Juno and opposes Mars, forming a t-square with Vesta-Chiron. Figure out what’s central to your functioning and living your life, and separate healthy competition from reactive or unhelpful comparison. What’s realistic matters, but more than that — we’re prone to be confronted with what is doable and manageable right now, as apposed to our overall capacity when we’re at our best.
It sounds serious. But if we take things seriously, there’s whimsy in the creases. There’s passion in how we move and how we create that dance with others. What’s wrong with taking things seriously — slowly, with attachment and long-lasting satisfaction? Pay attention to what moves you. There’s a story there.
With Mercury in Libra and Venus in Scorpio, the prize is buried — but there’s a map. Venus quincunxes Gemini Uranus, so the prize is also unexpected (and where you least expect to find it). Cardinal clashing can be a distraction. Move outside unhelpful patterns when you spot them.
Do you feel it?
I’ve had a rough week. I read your comments last week and appreciated every one. THANK YOU. I think I’m coming up for air. How are you feeling this week?
