I would expect someone with a sun Saturn conjunction in Cancer, to be well acquainted with the weight of a family burden. In some cases, the burden would be the lack of family. The may be responsible for the emotions of other; they may be the cook in the family, or in some position of authority, that may cause issues with their siblings.  “How come he’s in charge?”

I would think depression is signaled here, because Cancer feels.  But there can be other things in the chart that pick a person up.

I’ll argue that Saturn is not necessarily cold and restrictive.  Saturn can be an exceptional parent, patient, humble, good judgement, offering support that is earned. Spend time with someone’s undisciplined, self-centered brat, shredding every room they enter; you’ll see what I mean.
