Amid the world leader’s wild ambition, he continues to face impeachment threats as Democrats fight to gain control of the House of Representatives.
Trump finally put to rest reports he was gunning for a third term while speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews earlier this week.
When asked if he was “serious” about contesting again, the president answered, “Everybody asks me that question. You know that the law is very strong on that. I’d love to run, but the law is very strong.”
Trump reiterated that he was always asked about running for a third term wherever he went. “Even tonight, they’re screaming at the event 2028! No, everybody wants me to do it, but the law is very strong,” he added.
Trump’s acknowledgment of the Constitution’s two-term limit on the presidency drew reactions from his critics, who mocked him for finally respecting the law.

However, the host wasn’t buying the humorous approach, warning that Trump could go to great lengths to achieve power. Hence, she wasn’t interested in “playing nice.”
Amid the chatter about an extra term, Trump’s current term is facing major resistance from Democrats planning a takeover.
According to The Blast, the opposition is laying the groundwork to launch an investigation, particularly into the ventures, contractors, and financial entities linked to him.
Suspicions continue to rise that Trump is using his second term to line his pockets like never before. Sources say Democratic powerhouses are looking forward to making their probe if they take control of the chamber majority by sweeping the upcoming November midterm elections.
