Nelson went on to share details around the car and appeal to her followers for any information, writing: “If anyone sees a black defender Reg plate JU73SSY please if any of you have seen or know of any information can you dm me or contact the police I have so much of my girls hospital equipment in that car that’s really needed.”

Shortly after they were born the twins were diagnosed with the wasting disease spinal muscular atrophy, which means that they require leg splints.

In a previous clip posted to her page on March 19, she said: “So today, I had to go pick up the girls’ splints because their feet are pointing, and they need to be flattened out. It made me really sad.”

In the heartwrenching clip, she then showed the camera the tiny splints that her daughters would wear, which were decorated with small hearts, saying: “Made me sad though, because it’s just another reminder.”

Nelson has spoken about the condition on the Great Company podcast, explaining how she is hopeful that her twin girls are going to ‘defy all the odds’.

Explaining about the condition they’ve been diagnosed with, she said: “So spinal muscular atrophy is a muscular wasting disease, so they don’t have a gene that we all have in our body.

“Their muscles are now deteriorating and wasting away, and if you don’t get them treatment in time, eventually the muscles will all just die, which then affects the breathing, the swallowing, everything. And they will die before the age of two.

“It’s not okay, but it is what it is, and I just have to accept it, and now just try and make the best out of this situation.

“And my girls are the strongest, most resilient babies and I really believe that they are going to defy all the odds.”
