The Air Jordan 8 “Knicks” is officially set to release on December 24th. That’s Christmas Eve, so Jordan Brand is giving fans a holiday gift. Pairs will retail for $215.
The in-hand photos show a bold, clean build. Black leather covers the upper, with bright orange and blue accents. An orange “23” with blue trim sits on the cross strap. The buckle is blue, and the heel has an orange pull tab.
Blue also shows up on the heel panel, which has black and orange graphics. The midsole is mostly orange and black. A blue chenille tongue patch with an orange Jumpman finishes it off.
It’s a general release in men’s sizes, and grade school sizing hasn’t been announced. Expect pairs through Nike SNKRS, Foot Locker, JD Sports, Hibbett, and DTLR.
The 8 has real history with the Knicks. Michael Jordan wore it in the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals, when the Bulls beat New York on the way to a third straight title. That series is still a sore spot for Knicks fans.
This colorway also replaced a planned “Cavs” pair. Jordan Brand changed the style code and went with the Knicks name instead.
Resale is worth watching. The championship hype and strong demand could skyrocket these fast, so be ready on Christmas Eve.
