In a cosmic twist of fate worthy of a soap opera, Sofía Vergara is reportedly seeing red over her ex-husband Joe Manganiello’s portrayal of their marriage in his new memoir, “Bloodlines.” It’s amusing how Mercury’s retrograde seems to rehash old drama, isn’t it? Sources say Vergara feels betrayed by Joe’s account, particularly his assertions about her lack of support during his health struggles—struggles that, according to him, left their relationship “devoid of any emotionality whatsoever.” Talk about a galactic misalignment! Sofía’s sentiments echo the sentiments of many who’ve had to deal with a less-than-flattering ex exposé. She insists she was there for him, battling through the trenches of marital hardship together, which begs the question: Is it ever smart to air your dirty laundry? As the stars align, this ongoing saga reminds us of the complexities of love, support, and the all-too-human need for acknowledgment. Will Vergara take the high road, or is there more to come from this tale of cosmic woe?
Sofía Vergara is reportedly furious over how her former husband, Joe Manganiello, portrayed their marriage in his new memoir, “Bloodlines.”
A source shared that the actress feels betrayed by his account of their relationship during his years of serious health problems.
Unlike her ex-husband’s claims, Sofia Vergara believes she supported Joe Manganiello through a difficult period and is upset that he has revisited their marital struggles years after their separation.

Manganiello’s memoir has brought renewed attention to the breakdown of his seven-year marriage to Vergara.
In “Bloodlines,” the actor describes how his struggle with a mysterious autoimmune illness affected their relationship and left him feeling emotionally isolated.
According to excerpts published by People Magazine, Manganiello wrote that the marriage became “devoid of any emotionality whatsoever.” He also alleged that Vergara would not hug him, even when he asked her for affection during his illness.
Those claims have reportedly angered Vergara, according to a source quoted by Star Magazine.
“Sofía is absolutely stunned that Joe would accuse her of neglecting him after everything she did for him,” the insider said. “She went through hell in that marriage trying to help him battle this illness. It ruled both of their lives, and she stuck by him, even when it was just constant fighting for years.”
The allegations come as Manganiello’s memoir draws attention to the breakdown of the couple’s seven-year marriage and the personal challenges they reportedly experienced before announcing their separation in 2023.

The Star source acknowledged that the former couple experienced difficulties during their marriage, particularly toward the end.
However, the insider suggested Vergara was upset that those private struggles were being discussed publicly years after the relationship ended.
“They did have a terrible time in the marriage at times, especially towards the end, but she’s disgusted that he’d bring it up all these years later to try and sell books,” the source said.
The insider added that Vergara had expected Manganiello to handle their history differently.
“She really thought he was better than this, but if he wants to play dirty like this, he should expect the same back,” the source continued.

According to the Star insider, Vergara is also concerned about the decision to make those experiences part of a public memoir.
Manganiello, however, has presented “Bloodlines” as a broader account of his personal journey, including the illness that dominated years of his life.
In an interview with People Magazine, he said he wanted readers to understand who he was after feeling he had hidden important parts of himself for a long time.
He has also maintained that the end of his marriage is not the central purpose of the book, even though the relationship features in his account of that period.

Vergara has already made a social media move that attracted attention following the memoir revelations.
On Friday, October 9, the actress reportedly reshared an Instagram Story originally posted by her 35-year-old son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara.
The post discussed narcissistic men, prompting speculation among followers that it was an indirect response to Manganiello’s account of their marriage.
Vergara shared the post with her approximately 35.8 million Instagram followers. The social media activity also brought Manolo into the discussion, who wrote, “Remember kids, when dealing with a narcissist, it doesn’t matter how much you do for them.”
“Because they will resent you for it and nothing will never be enough, and they’ll always somehow try to paint you as the bad guy,” he continued.
The post ended with celebratory emojis, including clapping hands, champagne glasses, and a dancing woman.

The source quoted by Star Magazine suggested Vergara may eventually offer a more detailed account of the marriage.
The insider warned that Vergara is not someone people should underestimate or provoke, adding that she “does not play around.”
“She has plenty that she can, and will say, when the time is right,” the insider said. The source also claimed Vergara had told friends that Manganiello might regret making their relationship part of the public conversation.
According to the insider, “when she lays it all bare, he’s going to regret ever starting this with her because it will not end well for him or his reputation.”
Vergara and Manganiello married in November 2015 and announced their separation in July 2023. Their divorce was finalized in 2024, ending a relationship that had been closely followed throughout their years together.
The reasons for the split have also been publicly debated. Vergara previously discussed differences over having children, while Manganiello’s memoir places greater emphasis on his prolonged health crisis and the emotional distance he says developed in their marriage.
