“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” fans are slamming Britani Batemen for allegedly stealing from Mary Cosby.
In last night’s episode, Cosby, who joined the show in season 1 in 2020, confronted Batemen about allegedly stealing flowers from her event and regifting them to other people.
Incensed, Cosby told her “RHOSLC” co-star to stay away from her and scolded her about allegedly taking things that don’t belong to her.
In last week’s episode, titled “Boss Up or Shut Up,” Cosby hosted an event for the women of Salt Lake City.
It was the first time she’d been with the group since filming began. For those unfamiliar, Cosby chose to sit out for a few weeks after losing her son, Robert Cosby Jr., per The Blast.
At the event, Cosby gave each castmate a custom bouquet of flowers from her husband. During the scene, Cosby told her co-stars the flowers were handpicked for each of them and meant to match their personalities.
After the event wrapped, Cosby met up with some of the other women and told them that Batemen not only took the bouquet gifted to her, but also allegedly stole decorative flowers from the table and Cosby’s personal bouquet.
And to make matters worse, Batemen was spotted on social media regifting the bouquet to the elderly at a nursing home.
Cosby was furious about her missing flowers and told the women at the end of episode 6 on October 21. In last night’s episode, Cosby confronted Batemen over her missing flowers, taking their already contentious relationship to another level.
“You steal one more thing from my event, and we will have a problem,” Cosby told Batemen during the scene. During her confessional, Cosby told the producers that she was confused by Batemen’s “disrespect” before describing her as a “lost” person.
Elsewhere in the scene, Cosby unloaded on Batemen, saying she texted her to find out why she allegedly stole from her event. “You don’t care what I’m going through,” Cosby told her. “You don’t care that I took out of my time to have an event, bought all those flowers for you guys, and gave you flowers. And then you stole them too? Bye.”
Bateman tried to clarify her actions during her own confessional, telling producers she took flowers she believed were unwanted. “That just breaks my heart,” she said. “But I’m not going to apologize for what was clearly my good intentions.”
Bravo fans and “RHOSLC” loyalists responded to the scene after last night’s episode and quickly sided with Cosby.
“All [Britani Batemen] had to do is ask Mary if she could have extra flowers to give to the elderly,” she said. “Mary probably wouldn’t believe her and say no, but still, super stupid.”
“What Britani did was tacky, and she knows it,” another said. “Mary is in her right to check her.” A third user agreed, writing, “She has no reason to be shocked by Mary’s reaction at all.”
“Stealing someone’s dead son’s flowers and feeling unfazed is kinda weird and disgusting,” said another user.
Prior to filming, Cosby announced the death of her 23-year-old son, Robert Cosby Jr. The 23-year-old struggled with addiction and spoke candidly about it during earlier seasons of the show.
Cosby broke her silence on his death on Instagram in February 2026, writing, “Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
According to a previous report from The Blast, OG cast member Lisa Barlow said Cosby lost her son just hours before filming was scheduled to begin.
Describing it as the “hardest thing” to deal with, Barlow also called the tragic loss a “bonding moment” for the entire cast.
