Olivia Rodrigo has taken aim at Donald Trump over the impact of his administration’s policies on Planned Parenthood clinics. The singer joined a pointed new campaign video pledging continued support for reproductive health care access.

Rodrigo’s latest stand follows years of advocacy that earned her Planned Parenthood’s Catalyst of Change Award in 2025.

Olivia Rodrigo is once again using her platform to speak out against Donald Trump, this time over Planned Parenthood funding.

The Grammy-winning singer appeared in a new social media video promoting Daisy Chain Fields, her upcoming all-women music festival. The clip opens with text claiming that nearly 30 Planned Parenthood health centers have closed since Trump signed legislation that “defunded” the organization.

In the clip, Rodrigo and a group of women initially stare at the camera with serious expressions before breaking into a choreographed dance as the message changes to: “But we’ll never stop fighting for sexual and reproductive health care!!!”

The video is set to Rodrigo’s song “My Way” and comes with a pointed caption directed at lawmakers, reading: “Don’t go, go making decisions where you don’t belong.”

Rodrigo’s positive rapport with Planned Parenthood stretches back well before her latest campaign video. In April 2025, the pop star accepted the organization’s Catalyst of Change Award during its Spring Into Action Gala in New York, where fellow singer Lily Allen presented her with the honor.

Receiving the award, Rodrigo said the strongest connection she’s built through music is with the young women who attend her concerts. She told the audience she often wonders what kind of future awaits them once they leave her shows, arguing that restrictive laws and limited access to health care can stand in the way of their dreams.

She closed her speech by paying tribute to former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, urging supporters to keep pushing forward despite political setbacks. “We can be scared, we can be angry, we can feel hopeless. We just have to fight anyway,” Rodrigo said.

Olivia Rodrigo Condemned Trump’s Use Of Her Music

Rodrigo has clashed with Trump before. In November 2025, the musician publicly rebuked the administration after the Department of Homeland Security and the White House used her song “All-American B-tch” in a social media video encouraging undocumented immigrants to self-deport.

Rodrigo reportedly responded directly beneath the post, writing, “Don’t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda.” Although the comment was later removed, screenshots quickly spread across social media.

The government video showed ICE agents detaining migrants before urging undocumented immigrants to leave the country voluntarily through the CBP Home app or “face the consequences.”

After Rodrigo’s criticism gained traction, Instagram removed the song from the post. DHS later defended the video, saying Americans should be grateful for federal law enforcement officers and suggesting Rodrigo thank them for their service instead of criticizing them.

Rodrigo isn’t the only artist to object to Trump or his administration using their music without permission. In fact, she joins a growing list of artists who have publicly pushed back after their songs were tied to the president or his political messaging.

According to Vanity Fair, one of the most notable examples came from Beyoncé, whose label reportedly issued a cease-and-desist after the Trump campaign used her song “Freedom” without authorization in 2024. The singer had previously approved the anthem for Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

In the same year, Foo Fighters also condemned Trump after “My Hero” was played at a campaign rally featuring Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The band said it had never granted permission and pledged to donate any royalties from the unauthorized use to Harris’ campaign.

Inside Olivia Rodrigo’s All-Women Music Festival

Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields is set to debut at Great Park in Irvine, California, on Aug. 29. The new one-day music festival features an all-women lineup spanning multiple generations of artists, including Stevie Nicks, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Garbage, and Rodrigo herself.

Fourteen performances are scheduled across two stages. Calling the festival a “dream come true,” Rodrigo said she hopes it becomes a celebration where “joy, community, and music” inspire meaningful change.

The event also has a charitable mission. Organizers say 100% of the net proceeds will be donated to organizations that support and advocate for women and girls.
