"Oasis 2027 Knebworth: Are Fans Ready for a Tour that Promises Joy—And Absolute Chaos?"

Added on August 13, 2026 inFree Music News

Could Oasis really be making a triumphant return to Knebworth next year to honor the 30th anniversary of that iconic performance? If you’ve been keeping an eye on the buzzing rumors circulating in the media, it seems that’s what’s on the horizon—a possible series of September 2027 gigs at both Knebworth and the Etihad! The idea is thrilling, isn’t it? Yet, just as the cosmos nudges us to embrace possibilities, it’s also thrown a cosmic curveball into the mix: accommodation—or rather, the glaring lack thereof.

Imagine this—a village with fewer than 5,000 residents suddenly gearing up to host tens of thousands of eager fans. With Knebworth comfortably nestled away from bustling metropolitan hubs, fans might find their overnight options limited, leading to a creative scramble for a place to rest. Will you be booking a room in London, driving down, or just putting down a blanket in a nearby field? It’s definitely food for thought as the stars align, hinting at a logistical adventure for fans eager to see the Gallagher brothers on stage again! Need more insider info on this? Could Oasis be returning to Knebworth next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their original performance?

If you believe the rumours currently circulating in the media, then yes, a run of September 2027 Oasis gigs at Knebworth and the Etihad could be on the cards.

However, eagle-eyed fans anticipating a second pilgrimage to the Hertfordshire manor have already clocked one major issue with the venue. Accommodation.

Or a lack of it, to be more precise.

Unlike major cities such as London, Manchester and Cardiff – where the band stopped on their 2025 tour – Knebworth is a village 29 miles from the capital which has a population of just over 4,500, meaning there isn’t much need for Airbnbs or hotels to spring up on every corner.

Should Oasis decide to play to a 125,000-person crowd next year, fans will need to get creative when it comes to looking for a place to stay.

What are the accommodation options like near Knebworth?

The closest operational hotel to Knebworth House is currently the Roebuck Inn, which is about 1.3 miles away from the venue, where rooms cost between £93 and £103 a night.

After that, options include:

  • Holiday Inn Express Stevenage (1.9 miles), average room cost £63 to £75 per night. 129 rooms.
  • Hotel Cromwell (2.7 miles), average room cost £110 per night. 77 rooms.
  • The Wellington (2.9 miles), average room cost from £82 to £90 per night. Six rooms

So, accommodation options for fans do exist, but just over 200 rooms isn’t going to be enough for the legions of fans swarming to see the Gallagher brothers play again.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Oasis fans have faced issues getting accommodation, as ticket holders for Liam Gallagher’s Knebworth concert faced a scramble to find somewhere to sleep in 2022.

One woman believed she’d secured a room at Stevenage’s Ibis Hotel, only to later receive an email saying her booking could no longer be accommodated.

Several other reviews posted on TripAdvisor claimed this had happened to them as well. Ibis Hotel later denied prioritising certain bookings or trying to profit off the gigs.

Speaking to MEN about her experience, Rachel accused the hotel of ‘profiteering’.

“I just feel like this is a massive act of profiteering. That is the way it seems to other people that I have spoken to,” she said.

“I have no idea what we are going to do now. If it comes to it we will have to drive down and sleep in the car. I’m not selling my ticket.”

If joining a frenzied scramble for a hotel room in Stevenage doesn’t sound like your thing – judging by one Facebook post, Oasis fans have already booked them up – then there is also the possibility of basing yourself in London, which is around an hour away.

Meanwhile, some coach companies will also run organised travel to and from the venue, and some events will even permit camping on the grounds – which is what happened during a recent Iron Maiden concert earlier this year.
