Four years ago, the media personality announced to her fans that she would be rescheduling two shows after her doctor discovered a bleed on her vocal cord due to the violent cough that came along with her sickness.

She assured her fans that while her health was improving, the doctors had ordered her to remain indoors, resting her vocal cords while at it. As stated by PEOPLE, the singer noted that it was devastating for her to know that she would not be celebrating the holidays with her beloved fans, but a meeting was on the horizon.

Rimes continued that her show at the Ryman in Nashville was rescheduled for April 8, 2023, while her Riverside Casino and Golf Resort show in Riverside, Iowa, took place on September 29, 2023. She was also expected to resume touring on December 16, 2022, in Lincoln City, Oregon, and wrap things up on December 18, 2022, at the Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Airway Heights, Washington.

Rimes had to pull out of a slew of shows in 2012 after a major tooth pain forced her to go in for an eight-hour dental surgery. As noted by Taste of Country, Rimes sent out a tweet from the dentist’s chair informing her fans that her mouth pain is yet to be under control.

She confessed that the pain was one of the worst things she had ever been through, but interacting with her fans online has been very helpful to distract herself from the debilitating pain. The singer followed up with more tweets about how almost unhelpful the pain-numbing agents have been.

Rimes continued in the interaction that she was seated on her bed, in pain and watching the Olympics all weekend, before affirming that an eight-hour-long procedure would be done to repair her half-deteriorated tooth. The actress paid the ultimate price for this comfort by missing her Ohio Lancaster Festival shows.

The actress celebrated her climb up the 4th ladder in August 2022, and she had a whole lot to say about achieving such a significant milestone. Rimes confessed that as a child, she thought clocking 40 meant being extremely old.

“But now that I’m there, I feel like I have so much life under my belt. I’m much wiser. I wouldn’t be 22 again if you paid me!” the actress declared. She added that her new age also came with prioritizing her health and wellness, confessing that she has spent years overriding her body because she felt the need always to show up.

Rimes revealed that she has had to battle with caring about what people thought about her for so long that she feels a huge sense of relief in putting herself first. The songwriter spoke about exploring her sexuality and so many narratives about her background in her new album.

The 43-year-old hopped on Instagram for some premium storytime about how the bridge of her teeth coming undone on stage forced her to take an impromptu pause in the middle of her performance. As reported by The Blast, Rimes recalled feeling something pop in her mouth, and it was the bridge in front of her teeth, which fell out as she sang her heart out.

The musician revealed that in her desperate attempt to salvage the situation, she tried to push the teeth back in their initial position, but nothing seemed to be working, except for a die minute miracle which saved her from ending the show.

Rimes recalled that her dental nightmare began after she first got her veneers at 16 and visited a different dentist to redo them. She added that the new dentist did not bond the teeth correctly, which left her taking several trips to the dentist’s office for surgeries.
