An ex-Playboy model has opened up about claims of her ‘ageing poorly’ in the years since she starred in The Girls Next Door.

Kendra Wilkinson starred in the popular 2000s reality TV show alongside Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, all of whom were girlfriends of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

They have since come out and revealed the dark truths behind life in the infamous Playboy Mansion, having lived there for a number of years.

Madison has even opened up on the raunchier details of living with Hefner, including his ‘bedtime routine’ which they needed to follow.

Now, Wilkinson has spoken out about the comments she gets nowadays, over 15 years since she left the Mansion to start a life of her own, which has involved being married and becoming a mother.

Wilkinson, 40, first moved into the Playboy Mansion after appearing as a ‘painted girl’ at Hefner’s 78th birthday party.

She was just an 18-year-old at the time, being invited to become one of Hefner’s girlfriends, as she stayed at the iconic residence from 2004 to 2009.

A fan-favourite on the show, Wilkinson is remembered for her bubbly personality, even going on to land her own self-titled reality shows, Kendra and Kendra on Top.

Now a real estate agent, she has put her Playboy days behind her, but took to Instagram recently to respond to rude comments on some recent Instagram photos.

Posting a selfie on International Women’s Day, she wrote: “I used to use a light filter on myself but now I’m just embracing myself as it is. I’ve seen many people comment saying I’ve aged ‘poorly’ and that is ok. I’m ok with aging ‘poorly’.”

She said that she’s ‘happier than I’ve ever been’, even with some ‘weight gain and wrinkles’, with the former Playboy Bunny refusing to pay attention to the negativity.

“I am a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life and I hope that I can manage this feeling forever now after working hard to get here to this place,” she explained.

Wilkinson went on: “I was verrrry young when I started tv and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others but now it’s about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and Way less fame.”

She shared that she is now a realtor and a mum to a 16 and 11-year-old, describing watching them grow as her ‘ultimate happiness over everything else’.

The former model shares children Hank Jr. and Alijah with former NFL wide receiver Hank Baskett, with the pair divorcing in 2018 after marrying in June 2009, at the Playboy Mansion.
