Moving home

I’m wondering what transits might indicate relocation, as in moving. 4th house contacts? Saturn, anchoring? Uranus, abrupt? Jupiter/9th, to a foreign country? Or if you had other thoughts…

Hi, Maggie! You have the right idea. People move for all kinds of reasons.

For example, let’s say Neptune transits a person’s Venus. They take a leap of faith and move across the country, if not the world, for something that may turn out to be a delusion. Or take people like me, who left home when they were very young. There may be pressure.  The person may be stepping away the dead thing, which may refer to the self! A person just doesn’t think they can thrive in an environment.

Sometimes people are forced to move.  Unwanted divorces and other breakups create scenarios like this. Job loss is another reason,

In my experience, transit to the angles of a chart, aspecting the Cardinal houses, is the more reliable indicator that a person will move home.  Keep in mind I use Equal House. I can’t vouch for other house systems. The 4th house is primary, but if the 10th house is active and there is a job change with a relocation, the move occurs anyway.

Slow moving transits to the moon can also see a person uproot, but this is not as reliable as the Cardinal house, that I’ve seen. Feeling like moving and actually moving are two different things.  Generally, for a major move, there is more than one indicator.

I’ve had Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto style moves. It’s easy to see how the underlying purpose would be unique in each case.

What transits were active the last time you moved home?
