Is there ever a moment when Drake isn’t in the studio, cooking up chart-toppers or navigating drama? As a Leo, it’s no surprise that our favorite Canadian superstar has been basking in the spotlight, crafting some of the best content of his career this year. With three new projects and a fancy deluxe version to boot, it seems like the cosmos align perfectly to fuel his creative fire. Just over the weekend, Twitter exploded with a snapshot of Drizzy hard at work in his Toronto mansion, “The Embassy,” igniting chatter about potential new music. Are we on the cusp of another celestial drop? Or is this just the universe teasing us with possibilities for 2027? Fans are already dreaming of an expansion to Scary Hours—isn’t it wild how quickly anticipation swells? But hold on, not all that glitters is gold—amidst this musical renaissance, there’s legal drama brewing too! Buckle up, because in the world of Drake, the grind never stops—and neither does our fascination with the man behind the music!
Drake has been having one of the best years of his career thanks to his three new projects (and a deluxe version). But all his bars about staying in the studio and always working are as applicable as ever.
As caught by Kurrco on Twitter, a new picture hit the Internet over the weekend of the 6ix God recording new music in what seems to be his Toronto mansion, “The Embassy.” While there are no details to confirm these specifics, it already sent die-hards into a frenzy about what they may be getting soon. Maybe there’s more new music to come in 2027, or even this year.
Some fans are hoping for a Scary Hours expansion of ICEMAN, which line up with not just previous album cycles like For All The Dogs, but also with the recent FOMO deluxe of HABIBTI. Others are wondering if this is really as accurate as social media is painting it to be, questioning if this is a resurfaced image or something truly fresh.
Either way, demand for the Toronto superstar will rarely wane even if he drops new material every week. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
However, as dominant as this 2026 run has been, one of its biggest individual success stories is wrapping Drake up in legal action. Songwriter and producer Aviel Calev Hirschfield launched a lawsuit this week claiming the OVO mogul stole his chorus for “Janice STFU” without credit or proper compensation.
Drizzy’s team responded to this in a statement, calling it a fabricated money grab that is completely made up of false allegations. We will see if this leads to significant court updates or if the parties find a different resolution.
The Boy may have fed fans in very satisfying ways in 2026, but the grind never stops. Hopefully we’ll see exactly what he has in store soon, and where it will stand in his catalog.
