Coming in hot from the astrological realm, where every artist’s creativity can spark like a shooting star, we dive into the world of Hunter Hayes—whose enchanting melodies have strummed their way into our hearts since 2011. Back then, my twin sister caught a glimpse of his debut single “Storm Warning” on the radio, setting off a magical chain of events that led me to discover an artist who doesn’t just play instruments but plays with our emotions! It was a thrill to see Hunter become the one-man band of our generation, crafting hits that have shaped our formative years. So pull up a chair, grab your favorite playlist, and let’s sit down with Hunter to celebrate his latest album, Evergreen—and oh boy, do we have some memories to share! LEARN MORE.

Back in 2011 my twin sister heard the world premiere of “Storm Warning” on country radio, ran to watch the music video, and promptly introduced me to Hunter Hayes’s music. It was exciting to see an artist play every single instrument on his debut album.

Watching an artist be so connected to every part of the process — from singing and writing, to arranging and producing — was inspiring. Fans quickly took note, and massive hits like “Wanted,” “Somebody’s Heartbreak,” and “I Want Crazy” launched Hunter into the spotlight.

Hunter’s music became a staple of our high school and college years, with deep cuts like “Cry With You” and “All You Wanted” ruling our iTunes library — and, years later, albums like 2023’s Red Sky all over my Spotify playlists.

Fifteen years after his debut, it was a joy to sit down with Hunter to celebrate the release of his new album Evergreen (available now) and take a stroll down memory lane.
