After decades of establishing himself as a next-level action star, Tom Cruise comes back to character work with Alejandro Iñárritu’s off-kilter comedy Digger. Before he became the daredevil we all know and love for the Mission: Impossible franchise, every now and then, Cruise would expand into facets of drama like Jerry Maguire or Eyes Wide Shut. This also includes his incredibly rare venture into horror with Interview with the Vampire from Neil Jordan, which also stars Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, Kirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas. Yes, that’s right – long before Lestat became the center of AMC’s popular series (going into season four), Tom Cruise played Anne Rice’s infamous vampire.
Blu-ray.com is now reporting on Interview with the Vampire coming to 4K Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The 1994 film is set to hit retailers just before October (but spooky season comes earlier nowadays) on September 22.
