Prince Harry will reportedly not go along with his wife and kids when he travels to London ahead of charity events and a celebration marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games.
Yet, it appears the entire Sussex clan may make an appearance along the line, especially as rumors of a potential reunion with King Charles continue to gain ground.
Meanwhile, the duke’s wife Meghan Markle is said to have reservations about the whole arrangement as she’s said to be “expecting the worst,” but doing it for her husband’s sake.

Harry will not be accompanied by his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children Archie and Lilibet during his return to London on Monday for a series of scheduled commitments.
The decision comes as his request for extra security for himself and his family was turned down, even though sources claimed that there were “real and credible threats,” including threats of terrorism against him and his family in London.
When he and Meghan ditched their working royal roles in 2020 to relocate abroad, his automatic police security was withdrawn, resulting in what has proven to be a nasty court tussle in his bid to restore it.
According to the Daily Mail, the back and forth over his security situation is said to have reduced the Duke of Sussex “to tears,” but when it comes to the safety of his family, he isn’t ready to take chances.
It remains unclear if he’ll be staying in the unnamed royal lodge Buckingham Palace offered him while in the nation’s capital. He and Meghan were originally supposed to attend other charity events in the UK, including a visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London, but Harry will now tackle those alone.

While London is firmly off the itinerary for the Duchess and the children due to the security situation, multiple sources have refused to rule out the possibility of them joining him for scheduled engagements outside the capital later in the week.
According to the news outlet, Meghan and the kids are expected to join him at an event promoting the Invictus Games in Birmingham on Friday, as well as other engagements in other parts of the UK.
Many suspect that they’ll be visiting his late mom Diana’s childhood home and final resting place in Althorp House, which sits just an hour away from Birmingham, where the Invictus event will be held, per Fox News.
The property’s website reportedly shows that it will be closed to the public on July 10 and 11, leaving many to speculate that it is because Harry and Meghan want to take their children there to see where Diana is buried.

Despite his fear for his wife and kids’ safety in the UK, Harry is said to be doing all he can to make their trip as memorable as possible.
Sources shared that the duke is especially hoping to show Archie and Lilibet his home and where their late grandmother Princess Diana was laid to rest.
An insider told the Daily Mail, “Harry longs to bring his children to the UK, to show them where he comes from and to introduce them to their heritage. And he wants to take them to Althorp, which is where Diana was raised and where she rests.”
“It’s important to him that the English side of their heritage is part of their life. But their security is everything. There are real and credible threats, and he will not put his family in danger,” they added.

Meghan doesn’t seem to be so enthusiastic about the trip and the rumored meetup with King Charles.
According to Sky News Australia, a source shared that the Duchess is “terrified” about the trip and doesn’t fully trust courtiers, despite Harry’s insistence.
“[Meghan] doesn’t trust the palace one bit. In her mind, they’ve spent years spreading poisonous rumours about her, so she’s finding it very hard to believe anyone’s suddenly had a change of heart,” a source told the Daily Examiner.
The insider added that the former actress is only being a supportive wife as “she knows how much this trip means to Harry.”
“But she’s admitted that she’s terrified they’re walking into a trap,” they added.

Meanwhile, any hopes of a reunion with the King mean Harry and Meghan will have to follow the dictates of the palace.
Royal expert Alison Boshoff claimed they’ve been given a list of terms and conditions they’ll have to adhere to in order to keep the peace and at least maintain cordiality between both parties.
Boshoff, who claims to have a well-placed source with the Sussexes’ camp, noted that their meeting with Charles will be “strictly private” and will have “no cameras, no subsequent Instagram posts, no revelations in interviews afterwards.”
“Charles has let him know that he is really looking forward to seeing his grandchildren. Harry is looking forward to the visit and to building bridges. That is what everyone wants,” Boshoff’s source added.
Also, unlike many of their “quasi-royal” tours, where they’ve been able to front several moneymaking schemes, Buckingham Palace has reportedly stipulated that there “won’t be any commercial activity” during their visit.
