Added on May 12, 2026 inFree CelebrityNews

When reaching the one million follower mark, most influencers might break out the bubbly or hire a confetti cannon. But for mixed martial artist Paddy Pimblett, also known as Paddy the Baddy, it wasn’t glitz and glam that called to him. Oh no, instead, he opted for a showdown against one of Britain’s toughest fighters! Now, isn’t that just classic Aries behavior—bold, brash, and completely unbothered by the odds? This Liverpudlian often defies the norms of influencer culture, showcasing a down-to-earth charm that some might say is as rare as a good hair day on a Mercury retrograde. Recently, he took a few punches from content creator Dean Alex, who surprisingly landed some “big shots” before meeting an unexpected fate—let’s just say, it wasn’t long before Dean was regrettably heaving in the gym. While most influencers would celebrate one million followers with a lavish party or confetti shooters, one lad decided he wanted to go and fight one of Britain’s hardest geezers.

No, it’s not the bloke who ran the length of Africa, but mixed martial artist Paddy Pimblett – widely known as Paddy the Baddy.

The scouser has earned a reputation as being very down to earth away from the ring, which cannot be said of some of the other infamous fighters in the world of MMA.

And while he gladly agreed to take a few punches from content creator Dean Alex recently, his reputation was also on the line, with the Instagram influencer left vomiting after landing some ‘big shots’ on the Liverpudlian.

In the content creator’s video, he seems to surprise both Paddy and onlookers by landing a fair few punches.

But it’s not long until the professional has him writhing on the ground in pain, even giving him a big slap on the back when he comes back into the gym after throwing up.

It looks like the pair enjoyed their session though, with Dean joking on Instagram afterwards: “Lucky I went easy on him ain’t he.”

Away from fighting, Paddy is perhaps best known for his love of food, which regularly sees him cut and gain weight at a rapid rate both before and after his fights.

On a podcast episode last year, he admitted to reaching 198lbs, which was perhaps the ‘heaviest’ he’s ever been, but he also promised to not touch 200lbs unless he was spending time in America, where the portion sizes are significantly bigger.

He said: “This morning, I woke up at 198lbs, which is fat. That’s about the heaviest I get.”

Known for having a bit of a love for junk food, Pimblett admitted: “In the States, that food, it makes me into a machine. I’m just massive in the States, but when I’m back in the UK, the highest I’ll reach is 195lbs or something like that.”

After fuelling his time off with junk food, sometimes consuming around 8000 calories per day, the fighter will simply jump back into a calorie deficit diet, focusing on protein-rich foods with a calorie intake of just less than 2000.

Who needs Ozempic eh Paddy?

It’s not the first time that Paddy has gone out of his way to fight a fan, as last year he turned turned up at a gym to settle a feud with another fighter.

His opponent that day spoke after the fight, saying: “To everyone chatting s**t about @PaddyTheBaddy not letting the choke go, chill out.

“It’s a f**king choke, I didn’t even go unconscious, and it was a straightener scrap. I went in fully expecting that if he caught a choke he was gonna try put me out, don’t chat s**t you don’t know.”

Maybe he’s planning on making it a yearly tradition?
