Isn’t it funny how the stars align—sometimes in the most unexpected ways? Just as we’re feeling the vibes of spiritual renewal under this month’s full moon, Fivio Foreign is also making a celestial shift. The Brooklyn sensation is stepping away from the gritty streets of drill and stepping boldly into the gospel lane, where he praises God rather than the darker themes often found in the genre. With his new single “You Make Me,” featuring the soulful harmonies of Fire Choir, he’s inviting us all to join him on this uplifting journey. As Fivio reflects on his personal transformation and recent sobriety, we’re left wondering: can music truly be a catalyst for change? Let’s dive into what this latest release means for him—and perhaps for all of us seeking a little cosmic redemption through sound.

Fivio Foreign is still locked into his gospel lane. The Brooklyn rapper is back with “You Make Me,” a new single featuring Fire Choir. It’s another team-up with the choir after earlier 2026 cuts like “SOLDIER” and “Chasin’,” which he performed with them during Harlem Week. The song is an interpolation of Monica‘s “Gone.” Moreover, in an August interview with The Shade Room Live, Fivio said he was stepping away from Brooklyn drill to praise God through his music. “I’m just Fivi and I’m just trying to praise God through my music and not worship the devil through my music,” he explained, adding that he wanted to push a positive image after entering rehab late last year and staying sober since January. “You Make Me” keeps that run going while fans wait to see whether a fuller project is next.
