Elyse Myers took TikTok by storm when she shared a date story that had everyone laughing years ago. If you’ve been following her for a while, you know all about the 100 tacos story that had everyone talking. Since then, her content has taken on different forms and has evolved the same that her life has.
Just recently, Elyse shared a video on TikTok reintroducing herself, and many fans took to the comments to share how they’ve enjoyed watching her journey unfold and evolve.
Elyse has been a popular content creator on TikTok for years. A few years ago, she took a small step back from content creating, but her fans waited patiently for her return. It didn’t take too long before she began sharing more on social media and millions of viewers were excited to see her on their FYP once again.
Last month, Elyse shared a video on TikTok to reintroduce herself and explain some of the ways she’s evolved in recent years. Many of her “100 tacos” OGs took to the comments to express how happy they are to watch her journey unfold.
After introducing herself and sharing that she cut her own hair “and it wasn’t even a mental breakdown,” she dove right into sharing more insight into her life.
“I started telling stories on the internet to try and reconnect to the person that I knew lived somewhere inside of me but I just could not find because every other thing in my life took precedent and felt bigger and kind of clobbered me and so I just like dug so deeply into myself and like pulled me out and showed it to the world,” she said. “And everyone was like, ‘Hi, I would also like to be here with you.’”
Elyse went on to share what she studied in college, that she’s a writer of music and books, and that she grew up “having to be funny so that people listened.”
“It kind of just became my entire personality and then now I’m learning to undo a lot of that which is really fun and really scary,” she continued. “For the first time in my life, I am super into things that I would probably classify as more feminine, which I didn’t grow up doing because I was raised basically by three boys.”
She then shared that she’s “as neurodivergent as you can possibly get,” and explained that when she likes something, she dives in deep and it “becomes my whole life.”
“My husband knows that when I get into a new hobby, bye bye, I’ll see you in a week,” she said. “Me and that hobby are one.”
After sharing that she got her “uterus ripped out” and got tattoos, she said she has “absolutely zero strategy” about what she posts and shares.
“You’re gonna ride the waves of hyperfixations with me on my page,” she continued. “Right now, it’s 3D printing and nails, and also a very niche genre of makeup tutorials for people that want to look like they’ve never seen an iPhone before. It’s a whole new world. I’ll report back once I learn more.”
She continued her video by saying, “that’s kinda me, I feel like I missed a lot,” before sharing she’s a mom of two and what her second son went through.
“My second kid, born with a gigantic hole in his heart, that was a whole thing,” she shared. “Fixed. Better. Scary. I mean, like, worst nightmare, but he’s great now and I’m scared of him.”
She joked about him “cheating death” and the fact that “nothing scares him,” which seems to worry her a bit.
Before ending her video, she shared a few more facts about herself, including more about her husband, Jonas.
“I’ve never felt more like myself in my entire life,” she concluded her video. “And turning 30 was the best thing that ever happened to me, and my God, I’m so happy you’re here.”
Elyse’s video grabbed tons of attention, from new viewers to old. It quickly went viral with more than 1.5 million views and nearly 4,000 comments. Many viewers took to the comments to share their thoughts on her reintroduction and how her journey has evolved since her early days of posting online.
