D4vd has now been moved to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles as he awaits trial, placing him among some of the most well-known criminal defendants in recent history.

Records reviewed by the Daily Mail show he was relocated to Twin Towers at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, just days after his first court appearance.

His attorney made it clear the defense plans to challenge the accusations. “We believe the actual evidence will show David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez,’ Blair Berk said in court per The Blast, adding, “‘We would like to have the evidence come into the light of day.”

Ultimately, Hernandez’s cause of death was listed as “multiple penetrating injuries caused by object(s).”
Authorities allege that Hernandez had been subjected to continuous sexual abuse for at least a year before her death, beginning when she was 13.
They claim the killing occurred around April 23, 2025, at the singer’s residence in the Hollywood Hills, and that her body was mutilated roughly two weeks later.
The connection between the two became clearer through personal details, including matching “Sshhh” tattoos on their index fingers. The autopsy confirmed that Hernandez had the marking, and photographs show D4vd with a similar tattoo.
Her disappearance had been reported multiple times by her mother, who said her daughter had been seeing someone named David.
At the time, authorities categorized her as a runaway, a detail that now contrasts sharply with the allegations.
Prosecutors believe the motive was tied to protecting D4vd’s rising career, claiming he acted after Hernandez threatened to report their relationship.
The charges include special circumstances such as lying in wait and killing a potential witness, which could make the case eligible for the death penalty, though no decision has been announced.
The discovery of Hernandez’s remains came in September 2025 after a Tesla Model Y registered to D4vd’s Texas address was towed from a Hollywood street where it had been left for more than 72 hours.
Tow yard employees alerted police after noticing a strong odor coming from the vehicle.
According to court documents, investigators found a cadaver bag “covered with insects and a strong odor of decay,” and when they opened it, they discovered a decomposed head and torso. Additional body parts were located in a second bag beneath the first, confirming the extent of the dismemberment.
Neighbors reported seeing the vehicle move multiple times in the months before it was abandoned.
Police later searched the 21-year-old’s rented Hollywood Hills home, seizing a computer before he vacated the property shortly after the raid.
