If you’d told me last week that Mercury would be moonwalking through Leo and that Kylie Jenner would be rapping into my AirPods—on the same Monday—I would’ve said, “Wow, the stars really are doing the most .” But here we are. With “Fourth Strike,” Kylie isn’t just dropping a new makeup line—she’s dropping BARS, y’all. I mean, was it written in her birth chart that she’d go from lip kits to lyric spits? Maybe. Or maybe it’s just another cosmic curveball reminding us that reinvention is the real retrograde . Either way, brace yourself: “King Kylie” is back, and her astrological house is full of surprises (and a little bit of whisper-rap). Craving more planetary plot twists and actual proof that a Kardashian-Jenner can keep us guessing? LEARN MORE.
Kylie Jenner is venturing into music.
On Monday night, Terror Jr dropped “Fourth Strike,” a single that features Jenner’s vocals. The track is a sequel to Jr’s 2016 song “3 Strikes,” in which Jenner appeared in the music video that same year to promote the launch of her Kylie Cosmetics glosses. And she has a new collection releasing on Oct. 18. The song is also still often associated with her edgy style alter ego, known as “King Kylie.”
After the song was released, the beauty mogul took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos and videos of herself recording and listening to the song. “AHHHHHH!!!!!! FOURTH STRIKE!!! terror jr ft KING KYLIE!!!!! OUT NOW EVERYWHERE! what is happening!!! there was a little rumor 10 years ago that i was the one actually singing on 3 strikes! it wasn’t me (wish it was) so i had the idea to come together for fourth strike and it would actually be ME FEATURED!,” she wrote in part.
In “Fourth Strike,” Jenner’s verse comes by her rapping the lyrics: “One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right. Do it on purpose just to see how it ends.” She ends it by whispering, “King Kylie.”
Jenner is best known for her appearances on the reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians and in the beauty world, where she founded Kylie Cosmetics, which is now worth more than $1 billion.
However, music isn’t the only thing she’s extending her brand into. Last week, it was announced that Jenner will make her acting debut in Charlie XCX’s upcoming film, The Moment. Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Rachel Sennott and Alexander Skarsgård are also co-starring in the project.
While the news came as a surprise to many, Jenner had previously been vocal about her desire to act, as that was a storyline in an episode of season seven of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The film is expected to hit theaters next year.
