With the stars aligned in a peculiar way this week, Katherine Ryan, the fearless comedian known for her sharp wit, is contemplating a move that could be described as stepping onto the edge of a cosmic cliff—she’s thinking about undergoing what she calls “the deadliest surgery you can have.” At 43, after openly discussing her previous foray into cosmetic enhancements, like a facelift post-baby, Katherine’s journey has been anything but boring. In her candidness, she reflects on not just aesthetic desires, but an essential quest: a return to the rested and career-driven version of herself. Amidst Mercury’s retrograde mischief, which often causes indecision, Ryan’s musing about the risks of high-stakes cosmetic surgery brings to the forefront a provocative question—when does the pursuit of beauty cross into the realm of recklessness? Buckle up, this is going to be one wild ride! LEARN MORE.
Katherine Ryan is considering having ‘the deadliest surgery you can have’ as claimed it’ll be ‘worth it’ if it turns out well.
The 43-year-old comedian has been open about going under the knife, revealing that she had a face lift last year shortly after the birth of her third child Holland.
Speaking to Hello! magazine earlier this year, Ryan said she underwent the procedure after seeing her face ‘change so much’ following pregnancy.
“Part of getting back to me is looking like the version of me that was very rested and career-driven,” she told the publication.
“It mattered that I got her back so I could feel like myself again.”
And it seems as though the Canadian star might not be finished just yet when it comes to cosmetic surgery.
During a recent appearance on The Romesh Ranganathan Show, she shared that she was considering a high-risk procedure that she branded the ‘deadliest surgery’ out there.

“So you know the popular procedure where they try to find fat in your body through like a cannula and lipo suction and they harvest that and they put it somewhere else?” she asked the host.
“I think people went a little wild with that and they all looked like they had, I don’t know unnatural proportions.
“So I might do that, but only mildly, because it is the deadliest surgery you can get.”
She then added in her typical tongue-in-cheek style: ‘So, I might not do it because I might die, but worth it if I don’t.”
This isn’t the first time, Ryan has suggested that she has plans for more cosmetic work.
Speaking on Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection last summer, Ryan joked that ‘people aren’t ready [for her] glow-up’ as she opened up about her decision to have cosmetic surgery just weeks after giving birth.
Ryan revealed that she’d spent a cool £25,000 on her face lift and said she wanted to do it as she felt she ‘looked like a gargoyle for the last five years’.

She went on to talk about further surgeries she was considering.
“I just want to look like the way I did before I had all of these pregnancies,” she said.
“I’ve got more in the pipeline, people aren’t ready for my glow up.
“I need to get my breast implants out, I loved getting them and it gave me more confidence but they don’t suit me anymore.
“It would be fun to get the fat in my back a little bit into my bum, just reshaping would be nice. A baby BBL.”
Brazilian butt lift (or BBL) surgery, which is a form of surgical fat transfer, has the highest death rate of all cosmetic surgery, according to the NHS.
“The main concern is that the injected fat can cause a blockage in a blood vessel in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), which can be fatal,” it explains on its website.
As a result, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) has advised its members not to carry out BBL surgery in the UK.
