It’s rare for the drama to be off the charts this early on Big Brother.
But Rick Devens knew exactly what he was doing when he nominated Jason, Lyric, and Melody for eviction.
When the Big Brother live feeds switched back on following Friday evening’s nominations ceremony, there was yelling, tears, and plenty of strategy talk.

Rick had already mentioned before the nominations that he didn’t want a retread of last week, when Mallory, Taylor, and Yash were all on the block.
Well, he certainly got his wish.
The arguing was so intense that Rick was trying to end the nominations ceremony while the live feeds were still airing, which is practically unheard of.
Generally, we get the immediate aftermath of the ceremony, not the end of the ceremony itself, so that was something.

Someone clearly thought it was a good idea to give fans exactly what they wanted by showing all of the bickering and what it meant for the house moving forward.
With Rome being public enemy number one, he knew he was the natural next person to go on the block.
Heck, I’d go as far as saying that he knows full well that he’s the target and that Rick, Dee, and the rest of the Toolshed alliance are gunning for him on Big Brother Season 28.
Rome realized that someone had been telling other houseguests everything he said to them, and he started to understand that the people who are supposed to be his friends may actually be playing him.

La Trice was livid with Rome after hearing that he didn’t ask Rick to save her from the block and had instead asked for Lyric and Jason to be safe.
That highlighted how much stock La Trice had put in her relationship with Rome and showcased that sometimes, real feelings get involved in this game.
By the end of the night, the two had smoothed things over, while Rome was ready to go to war with the rest of the house and vowed to win the Power of Veto and remove Lyric from the block.
His aim was to have two people who weren’t aligned with him sitting next to each other on the block, with either Lyric or Jason then working their butt off to save whichever person remained the target at the vote.

But here’s the thing: Lyric seems to be pulling away from him.
The way they’ve been with each other in the house is like a couple that has been together for months, if not years.
And Lyric seems to be wondering whether her and Rome’s games are already ruined.
On Saturday morning, she told Rome not to save her from the block and said it would be better for his game if she left.

That’s absolutely wild, but it’s also kind of expected when things start going against a showmance on this reality TV hit.
I don’t know what this bombshell will do to Rome, but I’ll be staying tuned to the feeds.
Away from those two, there was also a blowout argument between Angela and Jason, but they patched things up shortly thereafter.
But this is Angela, and she tends to continue going after someone who has wronged her.

I honestly didn’t expect her to be this activated this early, but she’s clearly ready for the chaos.
Even Dee admitted that the nominations ceremony was better than her Survivor win, so that’s saying something.
When the Big Brother Live Feeds returned, we learned that Rick had won the Golden Power of Veto!
What are your thoughts on the latest twist and turns? Are you on board with this veto winner and what do you want them to do with it?
