Kelly Osbourne has revealed she wore a wig to this year’s Grammy Awards in an attempt to hide her ‘scary’ weightloss following the death of her dad Ozzy.
Osbourne, 41, said that she was completely overwhelmed with grief after her rockstar dad tragically died in July 2025.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, she said she was a ‘broken person’ following his passing.
The mum-of-one said her loved ones had raised concerns over her health but that she was so deep in her grief that she had ‘no idea’ how much weight she had lost until she saw a photo of herself at a dress fitting for the Grammy Awards.
She said: “I looked like the f***ing Crypt Keeper. I said, ‘This is scary. I didn’t know I looked like this’.

“My spine – you could see every single bone.”
Osbourne attended the Grammys with her mum Sharon and brother Jack, where they watched a poignant memoriam tribute featuring Post Malone leading a rendition of Black Sabbath’s War Pigs on stage.
Before taking to the red carpet, Osbourne said she decided to wear a wig and got her style team to find another outfit in the hopes of not detracting attention away from her dad’s legacy on the night.
“I wore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn’t see how skinny my cheekbones really were,” she said.
“They [Osbourne’s stylists] knew I was going through something. So, we were trying to find clothes to not make me look skinnier.
“I was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mum and to pay tribute to my father’s legacy. But in all honesty, when I reflect on it, I don’t think I should have gone. I wasn’t very well.”
Osbourne has bravely opened up about her grief after becoming the target of cruel tolls who commented on her appearance.
In March this year, she hit out at people who had ‘dehumanised’ her online.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something.

“Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip and turning your back when I need support and love most.
“None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character. I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life.
“I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanised in such a way!”
She also addressed the comments while appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored in December 2025.
“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like, ‘Are you ill, or ‘Get off Ozempic,’ or ‘You don’t look right’ … to all those people, f**k off,” she said.
“My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can.”
Osbourne says she is now set to share her grief in a new three-part documentary series.
“I’m going to do a three-part documentary series on grief and mental health, and what I went through, and tell my story because there’s a lot that people don’t know,” she said.
