Discussing President Joe Biden’s battle during an appearance on “The Jamie Kern Lima Show,” Dr. Jill revealed their late son, Beau Biden, has been a guiding force.

Fans may recall that Beau died from a rare form of brain cancer in 2015 when he was 46.

The former First Lady shared that she offers prayers to Beau daily to be their anchor as the former world leader’s prognosis got “so serious” within a short time.

“I think [Beau] listens, and now with Joe and his cancer diagnosis, I get a little frustrated, and I say, ‘Beau, where are you? I need you,’” Jill confessed to the host.

When the situation gets overwhelming, she sometimes visits the cemetery where Beau is buried to speak to him.

Joe And Jill Biden Still Feel Late Son’s Presence Daily

The reality of Joe Biden’s cancer made Jill look back at Beau’s battle, which happened at the height of his political career.

The renowned educator shared that she didn’t think she would lose her son to cancer. “I never, ever gave up hope until Beau took his last breath, and so I just felt so betrayed by it,” Jill said.

The 75-year-old, who noted she couldn’t “understand” it, has since managed to live with the incurable loss. However, she feels comforted by Beau’s ever-abiding presence.

“He’s with me every day even when I’m not thinking about him; he’s certainly part of my heart,” she gushed to the host.

Jill went on to recall a poignant moment during Beau’s memorial service where an eagle flew across their lake at home.

The former professor is no stranger to keeping the public updated about her husband’s condition.

Earlier this year, Jill shared a not-so-positive development about her politician spouse, saying his cancer cannot be completely cured.

The former first lady got candid about the direness of the situation and how far Joe Biden’s cancer had spread.

“The fact that it metastasized to his bones, that makes it a whole different story. So I think Joe will live with cancer till the rest of his life,” she said.

While Biden’s office noted that he was responding effectively to hormone therapy, his cancer has been rated a Gleason score of 9, confirming it is super aggressive.

Before his cancer battle, the 46th president’s health was on shaky ground, as evident during his infamous debate with rival Donald Trump for the 2024 elections.

While the world watched with concern as Biden fumbled and stumbled with his speech, the first lady at he time was in panic that something had gone terribly wrong.

As The Blast reported, Jill, in an interview, recalled being “frightened” seeing her husband behave that way, as it was a first. She has yet to pinpoint exactly what went wrong, but the moment stayed with her forever.

“I don’t know what happened. As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death,” Mrs Biden added.
