Do you crave distraction? This is the weekend for it. Libra Venus trines Pluto and Uranus and opposes Aries Neptune: a grand trine in air and a kite with a cardinal spine.

Desire is fuel for the fire, but are we clear on the fire? Oh it’s raging, but the ideal call to action may not be entirely straightforward. Siren song, but as a physical presence. Mirage? It is, however, ideal for distracting yourself, titillating yourself, when you’re clear on what is fantasy and what you stand to gain.

I get great pleasure from watching vertical C-dramas where the main character avenges herself by slapping a bunch of people; but I don’t use it as a template for my personal relationships. So consider this kite a tasty distraction, and apply it accordingly. There’s intensity, whimsy, pleasure, and creative tension with a novel twist. Perhaps some provocative taboo communication and action (Mars at the end of Mercury-ruled Gemini).

Can this end up being something real, becoming something solid? Of course! Pinocchio became a real boy, but he went through hell to get there. So don’t discount a bird in the hand over the unknown, the untested. If anything, this is a great influence under which to experiment and test your own desires. Is this what really does it for you, or is it the fantasy itself? A vivid fantasy life is one heck of a supplement to spice up the real thing.

Mercury is out of its retrograde shadow in Moon-ruled Cancer. It finishes up in Cancer and moves to Sun-ruled Leo late morning-midday Sunday. Leo Mercury fills in another opportunity edge of the Venus kite, but it also begins a t-square with a square to Taurus Chiron and an opposition to Pluto. Still, they’re connected. What you hear, see, sense, smell, communicate is part of the vibrant bigger picture. This is new info, and some of it has the potential to sting. That doesn’t mean it can’t be leveraged into a benefit.

SO, if what you sense or intuit turns your tummy, don’t just turn away in disgust or check out with a distraction. Maybe initially in order to let things sink in, but this twang will help determine what’s real, what’s good, and what’s yours to keep. Drama is a flavor, but it doesn’t have to color the whole feast.

Friday night’s Gemini Moon sextiles Aries Saturn then goes on to sextile the Leo Sun overnight. So basically the mood reviews a milestone you’ve managed. It’s a chance to settle in to your current path and tweak it to your liking. Listen for the details still filtering in, and add to your freshly settled sense of current self. Preen if you like!

On Saturday night, the Moon tours the end of Gemini as Mercury hits the end of Cancer. The Gemini Moon rolls over Mars then sextiles Taurus Chiron overnight. This feels like motivation to clear up any lingering details and invest in fine-tuning your grasp on what works for you. It also sounds a bit like a fun time, but you may need to negotiate the initiation of action. Flirty, it’s flirty.

Sunday morning we wake up to a t-square with the Moon in Cancer squaring both Venus and Neptune. That looks like a hangover to me! A hangover can also be metaphorical. Then Mercury moves to Leo and drama is bright and singing its song. That can be annoying with a hangover, literal or not. With the Cancer Moon mood rolling out from there, remember who’s in control (maybe it’s you!). It’s a great mood for catching up on your stories, because it’s what YOU want and need to do. Heck, maybe you make some up yourself. Overnight, the Cancer Moon squares Saturn; so as you head into the evening, be sure to give yourself time to wind down and settle.

Do you have any weekend plans? What’s your air quality looking like?
