When a majority alliance on Big Brother takes out one of their own, it tends to send the game into a bit of a tailspin.
Blindsides are a big part of the experience, but it seems that Drew is finally realizing that his time in the game could be numbered.
As part of the Toolshed alliance, Drew felt untouchable, but alarm bells started ringing the moment his ally told him she was putting him on the block as a pawn.
Pawns go home on Big Brother.
When the Veto came and went, and Taylor took herself off the block, Lyric was Hayley’s pick to take her place.
But that kept Drew firmly on the block, alongside Lyric and Melody.
Drew is a big target because his allies know he’s playing every side of the house that will listen to him.
Naturally, the Toolshed believes he’s untrustworthy.
I don’t think Hayley actually entertained the possibility of him going home until she realized that he felt too safe on the block.
With Drew’s game in jeopardy, Barrett has been trying to recalibrate his own game and may have made a huge blunder.
He told Mallory that Drew’s fate was sealed in an attempt to build trust with her.
But Mallory didn’t keep that information to herself and went straight to Drew to tell him that he had to win the Big Brother Blockbuster or else his game was likely over.
This was the first time that Drew realized the jig was up and that his allies were actively plotting his demise.
He didn’t do himself any favors by opening up about Mallory’s sentiments, but he’s now aware that he’s in danger.
By bringing up what Mallory said and saying her name, he has made Mallory a target of the Toolshed all over again.
But sadly for him, Mallory is not on the reality TV hit’s block this week, and it’s Drew who seems the most likely person to go.
Drew and Melody have formed a bond that the rest of the house can see, and they will be split up this week … unless Lyric blows up her game between now and Thursday and loses the Blockbuster competition.
All Lyric has to do is not ruffle any feathers, and she should be safe against either nominee if she’s still on the block at the vote.
From an entertainment standpoint, I want Drew and Melody to survive the week because Melody actually wants to take shots at the Toolshed.
The game so far has been so one-sided because the Toolshed has steamrolled the competition. It’s time for things to shift, and I bet it will happen over the next week.
Hayley and Kamu are both emerging as big targets, and I bet that Angela, Dee, and Rick will be forced to play dirty when people go after those two.
There are still a few days for things to change in the house, and this is Big Brother, so anything can shift.
