Scrambling for tickets to see your favourite band is never fun, but Tame Impala fans have shared a genius trick to try and get the best seats (buy tickets via See Tickets and Ticketmaster from 9am on Friday, October 3).

Tame Impala, AKA Kevin Parker, has a new album coming out called Deadbeat and will be hitting the road in the UK next year.

Sometimes the adrenaline of the waiting room, multiple screens and finally being offered tickets can make you panic, and just grab the first ones you can find.

Once the dust has settled though, you might realise the seats aren’t as good as you thought.

Thankfully, one fan has shared a genius trick that could help. Usually these hacks are for before you’ve bought the tickets, but this could help you to upgrade once they’re firmly in your grubby little hands.

The kind fan shared their knowledge on Reddit, explaining: “After you have your tickets, keep looking at Ticketmaster over the coming days, weeks, months.”

“If you find better seats at the same price point as your current tickets, call Ticketmaster immediately and they will upgrade you. It’s a minor fee. You can only do a ticket exchange once, so keep that in mind.”

They said the trick had helped in the past: “I’ve bought $150 seats that were decent, only to see new seats get added closer to the stage five days before the concert and then surprised everyone who I was taking with me.”

So, what time does general sale kick off, and how much will tickets cost? Find out everything you need to know below.
