New details have emerged revealing suspected Charlie Kirk shooter, Tyler Robinson‘s confession to his romantic partner about the murder.
The 22-year-old is accused of killing the conservative politician, who was at Utah Valley University last week for a speaking event.
Tyler Robinson was formally charged with the crime during a September 16 hearing after his father identified him from viral police-released videos and photos and turned him in.

Documents obtained by the New York Post on Tuesday have revealed that Tyler Robinson confessed to his trans partner that he planned to kill Charlie Kirk.
The 22-year-old reportedly lived with Lance Twiggs in an apartment complex on River Road in St. George, Utah, from where he is believed to have left for the speaking event.
After the assassination, Robinson texted Twiggs, instructing him to “drop what you are doing, look under my keyboard,” according to an indictment filed by authorities.
When Twiggs followed the instruction, he discovered a note left behind by Robinson that read: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”

Twiggs was left shocked by the message and immediately texted Robinson to ask if it was some twisted prank. The alleged killer, however, doubled down on his claim.
“You weren’t the one who did it, right????” Twiggs asked, to which Robinson replied, “I am, I’m sorry.”

The text conversation not only showed Robinson claiming responsibility for Kirk’s murder but also hinted at his motive.
Twiggs, who was seemingly still in shock by the revelation, had asked Robinson why he carried out the act. This prompted a reply from the alleged killer that he had grown tired of Kirk’s “hatred.”
“I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out,” Robinson said, referencing Kirk’s outspoken views.
Robinson also disclosed how long he had been planning the act after Twiggs asked him about it.
“A bit over a week I believe,” he replied, before going on to talk about retrieving the rifle that he had allegedly shot Kirk with.
He said, “I can get close to it but there is a squad car parked right by it. I think they already swept that spot, but I don’t wanna chance it …”

Other parts of the conversation between the pair showed Robinson’s fears about the rifle, which was his grandfather’s, going missing due to his dad asking about its whereabouts.
He told his lover, “Remember how I was engraving bullets? The [expletive] messages are mostly a big meme, if I see ‘notices bulge uwu’ on [Fox News] I might have a stroke alright im gonna have to leave it, that really [expletive] sucks…. judging from today I’d say grandpas gun does just fine idk. I think that was a $2k scope.”
Robinson then asked his partner to “delete this exchange,” before sending another message, saying “my dad wants photos of the rifle … he says grandpa wants to know who has what, the feds released a photo of the rifle, and it is very unique. Hes calling me rn, not answering.”

“Since Trump got into office, [my dad] has been pretty diehard MAGA,” he added in another text.
After this, Robinson told Twiggs he was going to turn himself in “willingly,” noting that one of his neighbors is a deputy for the sheriff.
“You are all I worry about, love,” he added, before pleading with Twiggs not to talk to the media or take any interviews, and also advising them to get a lawyer if approached by the police.
A day ago, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino echoed the same words Robinson had told Twiggs regarding his motive for the murder.
”Charlie Kirk is obviously a conservative commentator,” Bongino told Fox’s “America’s Newsroom.”
He continued, “I think it’s fairly obvious to everyone out there, and there’s no need to parse words with it, that clearly this was an ideologically motivated attack.”
Bongino also claimed that Robinson had increasingly shown signs of radicalization over the past year, as confirmed by those close to him.

“There appear to have been multiple warning signs,” Bongino added, per the New York Post. “There were people in his network, friends and family who had stated that he had become more political, that he had become at some parts, as I believe some of his co-workers had stated, that he had kind of detached himself when the topic of politics came up and walked away from them.”
Following Robinson’s apprehension, he was charged on Tuesday with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.
According to CBS, he appeared virtually for the hearing before Judge Tony Graf of the Utah Fourth District Court.
During the hearing, prosecutors announced their intention to seek the death penalty for Robinson should he be found guilty when the case goes to trial.
This was further emphasized when the state of Utah officially filed its notice of intent to pursue the death penalty, after the hearing concluded.
