Lance Twiggs, the roommate and trans lover of Charlie Kirk‘s alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, made some stunning admissions in court during a preliminary hearing.

Twiggs revealed that shortly before turning himself in to the police, the suspected assassin made a tearful confession to killing the right-wing activist.

This comes days after Tyler Robinson sparked backlash for seemingly laughing in court a few feet away from Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.

During the Thursday hearing in the Charlie Kirk shooting case, Robinson’s trans lover, Twiggs, made some bombshell claims about the alleged shooter.

He revealed that Robinson confessed to the murder three times, including after he snuck back to their love nest in Utah.

Twiggs, in a newly unsealed, pre-recorded deposition marking his first public remarks on the tragedy, recalled waking up the morning after the September 10 assassination to find Robinson pacing their apartment.

According to Twiggs, the suspected gunman quickly broke down in tears, expressing deep remorse for his actions right before declaring his intention to surrender to authorities.

The video played during the hearing showed prosecutor Ryan McBride questioning Robinson’s lover about the suspect’s immediate remorse on September 11.

When McBride asked, “Had he talked about what he had done?” Twiggs recounted their emotional confrontation just one day after Kirk’s death.

“Didn’t go into detail… I just asked him in person if what he said was true the night before, and he said it was… started crying a little bit, and said he wishes he hadn’t done it,” Twiggs stated in the footage, per the New York Post, adding “…Eventually he said he would talk to his parents or turn himself over.”

The other two alleged confessions came in the form of a note and then text messages to Twiggs, which were mistakenly shown in court during the Thursday hearing.

Tyler Robinson’s Alleged Notes Confessing To The Crime Were Mistakenly Shown In Court, Revealing His Trans Lover’s Chosen Name

During the Thursday hearing, a courtroom blunder occurred when Robinson’s alleged “confession” letter was shown, despite a strict pre-trial order from Judge Tony Graf, who had prohibited the media from broadcasting anything the state classifies as an official confession before a jury is finalized.

However, that strict rule was accidentally broken during a livestream error, which briefly exposed clear images of the suspect’s alleged handwritten note to online viewers.

Robinson is said to have referred to Twiggs with his chosen name, “Luna,” in the confession note, instead of “Lance.”

“If you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry. I left the house this morning on a mission, and set an auto text,’ the note read, per the Daily Mail. “I am likely dead, or facing a lengthy prison sentence. I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it. I don’t know if I will/have succeeded, but I had hoped to make it home to you.”

The alleged note continued, “I wish we could have lived in a world where this did not feel necessary. I wish I could have stayed for you and lived our lives together.”

During his police interview, Twiggs explained that he had not yet asked everyone in his life to use his chosen name, noting that only a select group of people called him “Luna.”

Early this year, a relative of Twiggs spoke out about his relationship with Robinson, while clearing the air on his whereabouts at the time.

The 22-year-old had been sharing a $1,800-a-month St. George residence with the accused killer leading up to Kirk’s assassination, but vanished from the property in the weeks that followed.

It was later revealed that he had been under FBI protection for a while and quietly staying with family in Texas after facing death threats.

“My understanding was for the first few weeks, cause there was so many threats against his family and him, that…they did have a little bit of FBI detail, and they kind of moved around a little bit,” Twiggs’ relative said during a chat with NewsNation‘s Brian Entin, before confirming that he was now “with his family.”

Speaking further about Robinson and Twiggs, the anonymous relative claimed that the couple was very “antisocial” and seemed distant from reality.

“Being as antisocial as they were, from my understanding – you know, playing these games and being part of this, this Discord group … they didn’t seem like they were in a real world,” the relative stated.

The source recalled how intelligent the duo was before expressing heartbreak at the way things turned out, especially for Robinson.

“Both of them are super smart…[Lance] was a concert pianist – he has talent for piano. [His] music was off the charts – not normal, it was very impressive,” the relative recalled. “And that’s kind of what I heard about Tyler is that he was just so smart. It’s just a shame that these kids had so much potential and so, such a bright future.”

Robinson, 23, currently stands accused of the high-profile assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA. The fatal shooting took place during a campus event at Utah Valley University.

The alleged shooter’s charges include aggravated murder, felony weapon discharge, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering, stemming from allegations that he ordered his roommate, Twiggs, to delete texts and hide evidence.

Robinson has yet to enter a formal plea, with his defense attorneys currently focusing their energy on a legal fight to abolish capital punishment in this case.

As the five-day preliminary hearing rapidly draws to a close, State District Judge Tony Graf has mandated that all proceedings wrap up. His upcoming ruling will decide if Robinson will officially face a capital murder trial.

To secure that trial, prosecutors are relying on a mountain of evidence, including campus rooftop surveillance and heavily disputed DNA testing.
