In a newly surfaced clip from the documentary, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Musk and West were captured sharing an unusually personal exchange about their complicated pasts with their exes.
Their first scene together came shortly after Musk attended one of the Grammy winner’s Miami shows, where he praised West’s performance as a “rare experience.”
Soon after, their conversation took an emotional turn as the video cut to the pair lying on a mattress-like cushion in what appears to be a bedroom.
Musk then breaks the ice, asking West about his romance with Kardashian. “So, are you and Kim like off and on or something? Or, I don’t know, it’s hard to tell,” Musk questions with a laugh. However, the “Stronger” hitmaker remained silent.

Musk and West are then shown standing in the room as the tech enthusiast gets personal, opening up about him and Grimes’ situation.
“Claire and I, Grimes, we’re sort of… you know, in the same text stream,” Musk explained to West. “She’s like, ‘I love you! And then, like, you know, a day later, like, ‘I hate you.”
When the “Heartless” singer asked the tech billionaire what he does during that phase, Musk responded that he is like, “Whoa, OK. Yeah, exactly.” An awkward silence followed after, and West declared, “I don’t have answers. Answers to everything except for that.”

While the SpaceX founder shared an insight into his affair with the Canadian singer, she has since spoken about the circumstances of their separation, stating that she initiated it.
According to The Blast, Grimes aired details of her breakup during an exchange online with rapper Azealia Banks, who alleged that the billionaire had “cheated on” and “dumped” her.
Grimes fired back that she didn’t get “dumped,” but she “bounced,” before adding she has her kids with her.

After their split, the former couple became embroiled in a custody battle after Musk filed a lawsuit in Texas seeking parental rights over his children with Grimes.
In court documents, the billionaire stated he wanted a formal agreement outlining conservatorship, possession, and visitation. He also noted the case was intended to legally confirm his “parent-child relationship” with their three kids.
Grimes responded by filing her own petition in California to establish parental rights, alleging that Musk had limited her access to the children and even prevented them from visiting their terminally ill grandmother.

West, on the other hand, has faced his own share of co-parenting challenges with the SKIMS founder, who reportedly increased security for their children back in May while managing tensions with her ex.
Per The Blast, a source disclosed that the beauty mogul’s four kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, who attend a private school in California, were seen with extra security and nannies during school drop-offs and pickups.
“She has three or four nannies come in SUVs driven by armed security most mornings,” the insider revealed. “The nannies sometimes stay to watch the kids play at drop off and pick up.”
Kardashian’s beefed-up security came amid Kanye accusing the socialite of keeping their children away from him.
The “Runaway” rapper insisted that he had little to no access to his children, even saying he hadn’t seen his son Saint in a year. He further compared his time with them to “visitation” in a “prison-like” setting.
However, insiders close to the family have pushed back on those allegations, pointing to photos earlier this year that showed West vacationing in Japan with Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Clarifying the situation, one source explained, “Kanye can see the kids anytime he wants; there are no restrictions. But Kim is careful to avoid placing them in situations that could turn chaotic.”
