Ten months ago, I consented to focus my energy on this case. I written about how seriously I take a commitment like this. My whole family is like this.

Case in point, I taught myself to read when I was four years old, but I was not allowed to go to school. I was enraged, distraught and plotting all at once. My older sister tried to calm me down with logic.  “You’re four, Elsa. When you’re five, you can go.” My logic said, I can read now, so school, now!

In the end, we made a deal.  I did something small and stupid for my sister.  In return, she promised to come home from second grade and teach me whatever she learned that day.  We shook on it.

It did not take my sister long to realize she made a very bad bargain. Every day, at 3:15 pm, I was waiting for her, out on the sidewalk, ready to drill her for information. I was relentless. It was not at all pretty, but she stuck to our deal.  There was no other option in our world. Being four and six years old was meaningless. Deal is a deal, baby!

Prior to the case, I was writing about “Metaphysical consent”.  Metaphysical Consent is not a social agreement but a fundamental, reality-shaping act of will. It is the conscious “Yes” or “No” that a person gives to a potential reality, that binds them to that reality’s consequences or liberates them from its influence. Here are some other principles:

• It is Active, Not Passive: You don’t just encounter fate. You consent to a narrative, a contract, or a path. My sister and I a perfect example. She agreed to teach. I agreed to learn.

• It Binds the Consenter: The agreements you make become the structural beams of your lived experience. My sister was on duty, immediately after school. I was right there as well.

• Its Absence is Powerful: Refusing consent to a false or imposed narrative is an act of self-creation. The medical establishment treated me like I was crazy and hopeless. I did not consent to this narrative.  Instead, I dumped all my health info into AI, which corrected my misdiagnoses (Lupus) and offered me my missed diagnosis.  I have been flourishing in “remission” ever since.
  This is also about not accepting negative things people say about you.  “You’re a loser!”  You can consent to wearing the label, which spares you doing anything creative, or you can withhold your consent and create your own character however you please. Most wear the label, whatever it may say.

I an highly self-directed. I am leaving home at fifteen. I am starting an astrology blog. I am keeping an astrology blog! I am going to fight these companies. Whatever.

This is not that common, but it could be.
