Mercury will ingress into Cancer on June 1, 2026. The planet will run all the way to 26 degrees before turning retrograde on June 29th. Mercury will station direct at 16 degrees on July 23rd. It will leave Cancer for Leo on August 9th.

During this period, the collective mind will turn to Cancer-ruled areas like family, roots, the past, nostalgia, emotional needs and security.  Mercury-ruled signs are likely to struggle with this; Gemini in particular.

This is because Cancer can get bogged down in emotion while Mercury prefers to keep things light and moving.  Cancer and Virgo have great affinity.
