Addison Rae‘s father could be in the running for fastest marriage!
Monty Lopez has now signed on the dotted line to get out of his latest marriage, barely a year after he exchanged vows with Kaitlyn Lopez in Las Vegas.
Monty Lopez was arrested on April 28, five days after law enforcement agents showed up at his home, and was charged with a felony of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Fresh legal and relationship drama is unfolding around Monty as court records revealed that he made a move in court about his marriage to Kaitlyn Lopez with the sole intention of divorcing her.
Both were married for reportedly less than a month following their October 2025 Las Vegas wedding and their separation the following November.
The divorce filing comes in the middle of troubled waters for the estranged couple. Just in April, authorities had checked on Monty at his home before he was later arrested on a felony marijuana-related charge on April 28.
Not long afterward, the singer’s father sought legal protection from Kaitlyn with claims that she pulled out a gun on him while they had an altercation as part of the regular physical tussle that defined their union.
Kaitlyn slammed the allegations as false, insisting that the firearm episode did not happen and that the toxic dynamic of their relationship had taken a severe emotional and financial toll on her.
TMZ affirmed that a temporary protection order was ultimately granted in Monty’s favor, requiring Kaitlyn to leave the residence and keep her distance until their next court appearance.
Monty and Kaitlyn got hitched after a whirlwind romance last October, and their journey to the altar was as quick as the first date, down to when they said, “I do.”
It was reported that Monty tied the knot with Kaitlyn in a private wedding ceremony at a wedding chapel in Las Vegas during a weekend getaway.
Monty later revealed that he did not tell almost anyone about the wedding, including his family, because he followed his heart. He explained that he met his now estranged wife at a bar in his home state of Louisiana, and their relationship rapidly heated up.
The two quickly became inseparable, and two hours after being called his “future wife,” he proposed to her without a ring before exchanging vows about 12 hours later in the Little Chapel of Hearts. The marriage represented another significant milestone in Monty’s headline-making love story.

Easterling continued in her petition, alleging that her ex-husband had verbally and emotionally mistreated her during their relationship.
She listed several reported instances of her and the children, including Addison, being degraded and insulted by Monty during their marriage.
Sheri and Monty’s relationship eventually fell apart after allegations came to light that the latter had been involved in a months-long relationship with a younger woman named Renée Ash. The claims immediately made news in 2022 and furthered the family’s already public persona.
Later, Ash stepped forward and claimed that when she entered into this relationship, she believed that Monty’s marriage was already broken. She said that he spoke of a future together, and even suggested that they have children.

Monty was also arrested on July 27, 2025, for a sexual crime for intentionally exposing his private parts in public, although the incident happened over a year before he was taken in.
The singer’s father’s bond was listed at $2,500 as he entered a plea of not guilty to the charges at his arraignment.
