Her online presence has exploded in recent years, with the athlete now focusing on adult content. “I definitely have. I’d say when I made the switch to OnlyFans, there’s a lot of stuff I’ve done in my career and I’ve been really fortunate my career even outside of the UFC and outside of fighting has been pretty successful,” VanZant previously said.

She added, “I’ve worked pretty hard in other industries and trying to cross over to more of a mainstream personality. Long before embracing confidence online, VanZant got candid about the physical toll fighting took on her body. In a past interview with the BBC, the former UFC star revealed she struggled with disordered eating while trying to make weight early in her MMA career. “I was having different issues with myself and my body,” VanZant admitted. “I was giving myself an eating disorder to make the weight.”

Although she said her body naturally felt best around 135 pounds, VanZant explained that she would push herself down to 115 pounds to compete in the UFC’s Strawweight division, often enduring intense dieting to hit the scale. But one frightening moment involving another fighter changed her perspective entirely.

VanZant recalled witnessing fellow UFC fighter Uriah Hall suffer a terrifying medical emergency while cutting weight before a fight. “I was at a fight where a fellow UFC fighter, Uriah Hall, was cutting weight and he pushed himself just to the brink of death,” she said. “He had kidney failure and started seizing in the hallway right in front of me. It’s because of that I’m like, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’”

The experience ultimately pushed VanZant to move into the Flyweight division, which allowed her to compete at a healthier weight. “I recently went up to the Flyweight division, which is 10 lbs. heavier, which is a huge difference,” she shared at the time.

Despite the risks surrounding weight cutting in combat sports, VanZant said she never fully blamed the UFC, explaining that much of the pressure comes from athletes themselves. “It’s our decision to cut weight, it’s our decision to fight at those lower weight classes,” she said.
