Seven months after stepping out as a couple, Jackman and Foster are reportedly “going strong,” with a source revealing that their relationship is built on a “good foundation.”
The “Wolverine” star and his girlfriend originally met in the early 2000s, but were just colleagues, supporting each other as they planted their roots in different Broadway musicals.
However, the pair confirmed their romance in January this year when they were spotted holding hands on their way to dinner in Santa Monica, California.
The insider who spoke to People Magazine also shared that the lovebirds were seen holding hands last month at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachusetts.
They added that the actor was “excited” to support her “One Night Only” performance at Tanglewood Music Center, alongside Kelli O’Hara.

Jackman separated from his ex-wife, Deborra Lee-Furness, in September 2023, before kicking off his romance with Foster, who, on her part, filed for divorce from her now-ex-husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024.
Reports suggest that they grew closer to each other on the set of “The Music Man,” with some sources saying their relationship was Hollywood’s worst-kept secret.
In 2022, Foster gushed to People about her bond with Jackman, saying, “The best thing that’s happened out of this whole thing is that I’ve made a new friend, which you never anticipate.”
“We always joke that after 40, you don’t really make new friends!” she added. “He’s a dream and so kind and talented and is even more generous. He’s pretty fantastic.”

Jackman finalized his divorce from Furness on June 12, about one month after the actress made a filing.
As previously reported by The Blast, the estranged couple announced last September that their 27-year marriage had hit the rocks and was made all the more complicated as they didn’t sign a prenup.
The judgment of divorce was filed on June 12, but the paperwork wasn’t made public until Monday, June 23, as two other documents were made two days before the judgment was entered: a “Qualified Medical Child Support Order,” regarding children’s insurance, and “Findings of Fact/Conclusions of Law.”

Insiders had earlier thought that Jackman and Furness’s divorce would be “messy” because of the absence of a prenup.
However, they were able to reach a settlement on the issue with a source telling the Daily Mail that Furness received a “handsome spousal support payment.”
“A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with, which includes a handsome spousal support payment,” the insider shared. “There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement, but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure.”
“There is not going to be any drama as this gives the closure that she needed,” they added.
Meanwhile, Furness is said to be uninterested in extending the olive branch to her former pal Foster.
A source told Star Magazine that Foster has been reaching out to apologize to Furness, but the actress is seemingly not ready to forgive.
“Sutton and Debs were friends; they used to go on double dates and even hung out one-on-one,” the insider shared. “That’s why Sutton feels a tremendous sense of guilt. As she tells it, she didn’t intend to fall in love with Hugh. It just happened.”
“Debs has made it very plain that she’s not interested in meeting and is disgusted by the relationship,” the insider added. “Sutton’s going to persevere because she believes it’s important they have closure.”
