The police described the suspect’s vehicle as a white Tesla with a noticeably dirty exterior. After firing shots, the suspect fled the scene and went toward Coldwater Canyon Drive. The suspect was described as a woman with braids, wearing a cream blouse.
Los Angeles police officers spotted the vehicle and tailed it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks. A 30-year-old woman, whose identity has not been released, was taken into custody roughly 30 minutes after authorities received the 911 call reporting the shooting incident.
According to a report from NBC News, authorities did not immediately provide a possible motive, but the weapon had already been recovered. Footage from a helicopter showed the area in front of Rihanna’s mansion blocked by a crime scene tape.

The shooting incident wasn’t the first time Rihanna’s security has been breached.
In May 2018, a man went over the fence of the singer’s Hollywood Hills home, and he spent about 12 hours inside. The singer wasn’t home at that time, and the person was discovered by Rihanna’s assistant the following day.
The man, Eduardo Leon, was charged with stalking, vandalism, first-degree residential burglary, and resisting arrest, according to the BBC.
In September of that same year, authorities were again alerted to a burglary at Rihanna’s home. Fortunately, she wasn’t there at the time of the incident. Surveillance footage showed three men entering the location by breaking a glass door in the rear part of the house, as reported by ABC 7.

Four people, a woman and three teenagers, were arrested in connection with the incident. The group had been targeting celebrity homes, and authorities recovered stolen items, including jewelry, handbags, watches, and mobile phones.

In 2014, Rihanna was targeted by a man who was seen on a surveillance video delivering threatening letters to the singer’s apartment building in Manhattan. He also reportedly sent letters to the singer in her California home.
The man was identified after he dropped a card that had his name and address while lurking near Rihanna’s building. Kevin McGlynn, 53, was arrested the following day.
McGlynn was later found unfit to stand trial and was ordered to be committed to a psychiatric hospital. “He appears to be a ticking time bomb who is wholly fixated on [Rihanna], and poses a direct threat of serious physical harm or death to her and anyone around her,” the judge said, as reported by TODAY.

In 2023, authorities were called to Rihanna’s home in Beverly Hills after a man, wearing a red Nike hoodie and sweatpants, tried to enter the property. Per authorities, the man traveled from South Carolina to California to propose to the singer. However, he was quickly apprehended by Rihanna’s security team.
The man was escorted away from the property in handcuffs but was released after questioning because he couldn’t get onto the property and hadn’t broken any laws. However, the police gave him a stern warning not to return to the property.
