“Easter Bunny Blunder: Trump’s Unusual Guest Steals the Show at White House Egg Roll”

Added on April 22, 2025 inPolitics Cards

What better way to ruin your Easter than with a gory pic, right? Here’s a thought – maybe the stars were just aligning for a special kind of horror show at the White House Easter Egg Roll. I mean, picture this: Trump, amidst the joy of children and colorful eggs, unveiling a trading card not for Pokémon, but for… his assassination attempt aftermath? Oh, the humanity. Or should I say, the hilarity?

You’d expect him to pull out something kid-friendly like a talking Elmo or a comic book, but no, he hands out a card commemorating the least family-friendly event imaginable. On April 21, 2024, the synchronicity of Jupiter in Aries aligning with Mars in Cancer could have incited an extra dose of, “Let’s share our darkest moments with kids”. “Raise your hand if you’ve ever nearly been shot,” Turns Easter into a true crime storytime.

One person on Reddit could not have said it better: “Forget about chocolate and bunnies, lets talk about the time somebody tried to shoot me dead”. Cue a collective gasp from the kids and a few nervous chuckles from the adults.

Another questioned the appropriateness of such an interaction, saying, “Isn’t this what Easter is about? Assassination attempt trading cards?” Yep, because every holiday needs a little shock value, right?

So here’s something to ponder – do we live in a world where trading cards of politicial near-death experiences are completely normal? Or is it all just part of a celestial alignment gone rogue?

Had Trump’s stars not been in his favor during the event, we could have had a radically different president. But let’s be real, after surviving such a close call, introducing a traumatic trading card to children at Easter is just the universe’s way of keeping things spicy.

The backdrop of this happening during an Easter event certainly adds to the cosmic comedy, with some Redditors making light of the situation, joking about it being “Is THIS what Easter is about? Assassination attempt trading cards?” and others listing where these cards rank among their favorite April things.

Yep, if you’re thinking that’s a bit cringe, you’re not alone… or maybe it’s just your stars telling you it’s time to lighten up.

President Donald Trump has been criticized for showing a gory picture of himself to young children.

During the annual White House Easter Egg Roll yesterday (April 21), the 78-year-old Republican was snapped speaking to kids who had made the trip to Washington DC to hunt for eggs that the Easter Bunny scattered around the south lawn.

But Redditors spotted a bizarre detail which has left many horrified, as he grips onto a trading card that details the moments after the failed assassination attempt by Thomas Matthew Crooks, who opened fire at him on July 13.

Trump came within milliseconds of death, while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, as the 20-year-old assassin fired multiple shots from a slanted roof of a building just 150 meters to his right.

Had Trump not turned his head ever so slightly at the exact moment the bullet was fired it could have been a different story.

While Crooks’ intended target lived, and went on to become president, father-of-two volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore was killed in the process, with two others critically injured in the process.

Of course, the brutal nature of the events that unfolded aren’t exactly kid-friendly – which was pointed out on Reddit.

“Forget about chocolate and bunnies, lets talk about that time somebody tried to shoot me dead. For a father of 5 and grandfather of idk how many, you’d think he’d have some idea of what is child friendly,” one person commented.

Joked another: “Isn’t this what Easter is about? Assassination attempt trading cards?”

A third quipped: “Personally, i like Cadbury Cream Eggs, but assassination attempt trading cards are a close 37th on the list of Easter things I enjoy.”

While another questioned Trump’s decision to speak about the topic to kids. Their lengthy post read in part: “‘Hey kids, check out this photo of me with blood coming out of my ear! Two people died in this attempt to kill me, including the assassin. Anyhow Happy Easter!’

“Totally normal interaction with Elementary School aged children.”

Before adding: “An endless list of normal, positive things to say and do but no…. ‘Here’s a pretend baseball card of my bloody face. Cool, huh?'”

The trading card itself can actually be purchased on Amazon. The front of the card depicts Trump with a bloody ear and his hand in the air, while the back details the event.
