As Oasis fans up and down the country desperately try and get their hands on last minute tickets, one young fan has revealed the incredible way he bagged his way in for free.
Like millions of others, Joab Darbyshire and his family were left devastated when they didn’t manage to get their hands on tickets for the hotly anticipated reunion tour.
Being from Manchester, they were hoping for tickets for the final Heaton Park date on 20 July, which also happens to be Joab’s mum Colette’s birthday, but luck wasn’t on their side.
“We were scrambling in the queues, I was at work and all my family members were at work and we were all in the queues, couldn’t get any tickets and then obviously it went mad,” the 19-year-old told LADbible.

“They started releasing higher price tickets and all the resale tickets were thousands of pounds and realistically I’m not going to pay that.”
Not willing to give up, Joab and his girlfriend started trying to come up with alternative ways to get into the iconic show.
“We were just thinking, how can we get in?” he said. “Could we be stewards and be in the field able to hear it?”
And then the answer came to them: bar staff.
After a bit of research, the pair applied with an agency and around three months ago they were told they could book on to do a shift.

Starting at 3.30pm, the music lover served drinks to Oasis fans from a bar behind the stage, right up until just after 8.20pm when the band came on.
As luck would have it, the location of the bar meant it was virtually empty by the time Oasis came on, so many of the staff were allowed to clock off early, including Joab and his partner.
“They let us go early, because we were overstaffed where we were behind the stage. It had really died down so the bars were pretty much empty, so a few of us got let go,” he said.
After clocking out for his shift, the teen joined the crowd and had ‘the time of his life,’ but the best part? He gets to go back on Sunday and do it all over again. Yep, we’re jealous too.
“Most of the people in there, they genuinely just wanted to work,” he said, “whereas I saw it as a good opportunity to earn some money and see it for free.”
