To celebrate the release of Kush + Orange Juice 2 — Wiz Khalifa‘s long-awaited follow-up to his lauded 2010 mixtape Kush & OJ — we sat down with the rapper to reflect on life and his music. And we brought a few furry friends along for the journey.
Kush & OJ was actually my first introduction to Wiz back in 2010 while I was in college, and I’ve been a fan ever since. The mixtape stayed in rotation at our apartment…and now, as I’m writing this, flashbacks of “Up” and “In the Cut” blasting through the speakers are flooding my mind. Le sigh…good times. He even came to perform at my school, so I couldn’t be happier for him.
And Wiz, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, happens to be a big fan of puppies, particularly Pit Bull puppies, so we delivered, and his smile said it all.
We talked about the fatherhood moments he cherishes the most with his 11-year-old son Sebastian “Bash” Taylor (whom he shares with his ex, model Amber Rose) and his 9-month-old daughter Kaydence (whom he welcomed in July 2024 with his girlfriend, model Aimee Aguilar).
He also opened up about his sweet lover boy mentality when he’s in a relationship…
…and even shared why he’d call on 50 Cent to help him out in a fight, despite him being well-trained in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
And be sure to listen to Kush + Orange Juice 2, which is out now!
