Why Joss Stone Turned Her Marital Bed into a "No Entry Zone" After Just 18 Months – Is It Written in the Stars?

Ever wondered what the stars have to say about your sleeping habits and relationship dynamics? Well, let’s glance into the celestial mirror today where we find Joss Stone aligning her love life with the orbital dance of planets.

Joss Stone, the British soul singer, through her soulful music, has touched us. Now we find out how she’s arranging not only her music, but her home affairs. Here’s an interesting conundrum, inspired by the ever-unpredictable Gemini Moon, symbolizing adaptability and balance, or the lack thereof in our domestic lives. Just like that, Joss and her husband, Cody, have taken the high road to slumber separation not because of any marital discord (thank goodness) but due to their growing, thriving family.

Now here’s where the situation gets one part “Gray’s Anatomy” and one part cozy family dramedy: They’ve been hitched for a year and a half, brought in a third through adoption, and now baby number four is on the way. Surprised as she was, Joss expressed the joy with open arms, or in her words, “We’re pretty dang excited!” Sounds like the perfect recipe for a sleep study documentary, doesn’t it?

These family sleepovers have apparently inspired a new relationship navigation strategy: “I sleep where my heart leads me, and my daughter’s crib..”, says Joss. And Mr. DaLuz? He’s over in the dark side of the moon watching horror movies, which might not be the best romantic prelude when you consider the need for tranquility and good sleep in companionship (or solitude, in this case).

A little astrological insight? With the current alignment of Mars and Saturn, it’s like having your relationship go through a cosmic boot camp. It’s tough, but essential.

Certainly, if making time for celestial romance only exists within the boundaries of some shared linens, there might be a more pressing issue at stars, or in this case, hearts.

Could this be…? Joss Stone has explained why she and new-ish husband Cody DaLuz don’t share a bed 18 months after tying the knot.

The couple had been together for a few years and had two children together before getting married in October 2023, and afterwards they adopted a third child.

The singer shortly after announced that she and DaLuz were expecting another baby, which will mean the couple are soon to welcome their fourth child together.

The news came as a shock to Joss, as she shared on Instagram in December last year: “Honestly. Shocked was an understatement. Nothing and no one can take our joy now. We are so chuffed !!!! Maybe we should call the ‘Less is More’ tour the preggo tour.”

She explained that she and her husband didn’t share a bed because some of their kids were in the ‘rearing stage,’ which had caused some changes to their home life.

Speaking on her A Cuppa Love podcast, the singer said: “It can work – I should hope so, because I sleep with my daughter Violet now.

“Cody watches horror movies. Every now and then I’ll wake up and I’ll go in and give him a little cuddle.

“It’s so crazy – we have so many children, I have to make sure that they stay asleep without screaming. So this is a children’s scenario.”

She continued: “I’m like, I’m not going to be in there, waking him up every five minutes. I go in with my baby Violet who, by the way, will not go to sleep unless I’m there – that’s probably my fault, but I love that – and then I do my whole night shift. But it’s crazy.

“People are like, ‘Oh, that’s so bad!’ But I’m still not going in there because he watches horror movies. I’m not doing that.”

So there you have it, her daughter won’t sleep unless Joss is in the room, and if the singer still shared a bed with her husband, she’d be going back and forth all the time when she ought to be getting some well-deserved rest.

The star also said on her podcast that she and her husband ‘find time to be romantic with each other’, saying that if sleeping in the same room was the only time for romance between couples ‘then it’s a problem’.

“You’ve got to be like, ‘I love you babe but I’m going back in the other room because you’re watching a slasher movie.” Stone said of sleeping in separate rooms.

“Goodbye. I’ll see you later! I’ll see you when I pop her out and get my body back’.”

Because they’re moving around a lot on tour and are often on their own, they’re used to having their relationship dynamic which works for them.

She went on to mention something DaLuz told her about marriages: “Cody was actually saying, you know, there is this whole thing with marriage… he says things like, ‘Partners that work out together, stay together.”
